and others I set up a secret COMPANY OF PHILOMATHS

(Lovers of science) and next the COMPANY OF FILARETS

(Lovers of virtue). During the meeting at the

University of Vilnius on 3rd of October 1817 at 8 PM

a discussion will be conducted which is supposed to prepare youth for activities in various areas of life of the nation

devoid of its own nationhood.
