Students of 6th և 7th grade of Karmirgyugh N 1 secondary school, teachers L. Jraghatspanyan և Ash. Martoyan, Deputy Director for VET H. Umrshatyan, SGP teacher S. Asatryan and members of the Public Council visited the village of Margahovit in the Lori region, where the ATP Environmental Center was founded years ago by the Ohanyan family in Boston.
The aim of the center is to educate and bring up a generation that will make Armenia a place where nature and people live and work in harmony.
The students participated in the environmental training organized by the center, accompanied by a caring and knowledgeable trainer, Mrs. Gayane, walked in the park created by the organization, got acquainted with a number of plants and trees registered in the Red Book on the verge of extinction in Armenia.
Receiving interesting, rich information about nature and its proper use, the students promised to become the driving force behind the preservation of the environment and positive change in their community.
They received from the center: "Let's connect Diaspora Armenian schoolchildren with our inherited nature" Armenia Tree Planting Program (ATP) newsletter for children aged 6-10 (www.armeniatree.org) շարժ moved to Dilijan National Park - the second stop of the educational tour.
