Udruga za zaštitu prirode i okoliša „Zasadi stablo, ne budi panj!” organizira u Republici Hrvatskoj kampanje sadnje stabala na lokalnoj, regionalnoj i nacionalnoj razini. Nakon uspješnog sudjelovanja u nacionalnoj kampanji “Tjedan kolektivne sadnje stabala u Hrvatskoj 2021. godine”, učenici i nastavnici Industrijske strojarske škole, Zagreb uključili su se početkom studenog 2021. u kampanju „3…2…1 SADIMO“ te su u dvorištu škole posadili još sadnica jabuka, krušaka, trešanja i višnji.
Svjesni potrebe za djelovanjem u utrci s klimatskom krizom, učenici i nastavnici Industrijske strojarske škole (ISŠ) rado se odazovu pozivu za djelovanjem u utrci s klimatskom krizom te na taj način podižu ekološku svijest i potvrđuju društvenu i ekološku odgovornost kako bi pomogli u realizaciji strategija ublažavanja posljedica klimatskih promjena prema EU standardima. Cilj sudjelovanja u kampanji je dati mogućnost učenicima da oni sami budu rezultat prilagodbe, promjena, otpornosti i uspješnosti u odnosu na ekološke izazove. Cilj je također poduprijeti revitalizaciju urbanih zelenih površina u gradu kako bi se njihovim očuvanjem umanjili utjecaji toplinskih valova. Udruga za zaštitu prirode i okoliša „Zasadi stablo, ne budi panj!” prepoznala je važnost i snagu digitalne tranzicije i iskoristila potencijal interneta i marketinga te je oformila komunikacijsku i edukativnu platformu https://zasadistablonebudipanj.hr/edutree-platforma/ za kreiranje pravilnog stava i podizanja svijesti svih sudionika i šire populacije. U globaliziranom svijetu koji se brzo mijenja, stajanje na mjestu najbrži je način za kretanje unatrag i zato je iznimno važno prepoznavanje potreba, trendova, vlastitih prednosti i slabosti kako bi se izazovi pretvorili u razvojne prilike, ali i kako bi se jačala otpornost društva te postigla njegova veća spremnost za suočavanje s nepredvidivim okolnostima postojećih i nadolazećih klimatskih promjena.
Sadnjom sadnica voćaka u dvorištu ISŠ-a, učenici su dali svoj doprinos ublažavanju posljedica klimatskih promjena nadajući se da će se voćke posađene u kampanji „3…2…1 SADIMO“ zazelenjeti kao i one iz kampanje “Tjedan kolektivne sadnje stabala u Hrvatskoj 2021. godine”. Posađena stabla evidentirana su na GIS portalu kampanje za sadnju stabala UZSNP https://panj.crogis.hr/.
"Plant a tree, don't be a stump!"
Association for Nature and Environmental Protection "Plant a tree, don't be a stump!" is organizing tree planting campaigns at a local, regional and national level in the Republic of Croatia. After successfully participating in the national campaign "The Week of planting trees collectively in Croatia in 2021 ”, students and teachers of the Industrial Mechanical Engineering schools, Zagreb joined in the campaign "3… 2… 1 WE ARE PLANTING” in early November 2021.
They planted more seedlings of apples, pears, cherries and sour cherries in the school yard. Aware of the need to act in the race against the climate crisis, students and teachers of Industrial Schools of Mechanical Engineering (ISŠ) gladly respond to the call to act in the race with climate crisis and thus raise environmental awareness and confirm social and environmental responsibility to help implement strategies of mitigation of consequences of climate change according to EU standards. The goal of participating in the campaign is to give the possibility for students to be the result of adaptation, change, resilience and performance in relation to environmental challenges. The aim is also to support revitalization of urban green spaces in the city to reduce impacts of heat waves by preserving them. Association for Nature and Environmental Protection "Plant a tree, don't be a stump!" recognized the importance and power of the digital transition and exploited the potential of the internet and marketing and has formed a communication and educational platform

In a globalized world that is changing fast, standing still is the fastest way to move backwards. Therefore, the recognition of needs and trends is exceptionally important, as is the recognition of our own strengths and weaknesses in order to turn challenges into development opportunities, but also to strengthen the resilience of society and achieve its greater willingness to deal with the unforeseen circumstances of existing and upcoming climate change.
By planting fruit seedlings in the yard of the ISŠ, the students gave their contribution to reduction of consequences of climate change hoping that fruit trees that are planted in the campaign "3… 2… 1 PLANT" become as green as those from the campaign "The Week of planting trees collectively in Croatia in 2021 ”. Planted trees were recorded on the GIS portal of the UZSNP tree planting campaign https://panj.crogis.hr/.
