Day 4 - 5th March 2020.

  • Day 4 - 5th March 2020.

Govorili smo o emocionalnoj svjesnosti, samostalnom upravljanju, društvenoj svijesti i upravljanju u odnosima. Kako prepoznati različite emocije u našem razredu i kojim putem krenuti u ostvarivanje svojih ciljeva.

Ellen Langer: Let"s talk about Mindfulness razgovarali smo o njenoj inovativnoj teoriji o pažnji i konceptu svjesnog učenja.

Vrlo pozitivne emocije.

The theme of the day was emotional intelligence - domains and competencies. We talked about emotional awareness, self-management, social awareness and relationship management. How to recognize the different emotions in our class and how to go about achieving your goals. In this regard, there was a particular emphasis on focus because when we achieved this with our students, we were able to make the connection between being enthusiastic about the creative process and being successful. This is exactly what the concept of positive psychology is all about. The emphasis was again on a deep understanding of how precisely different feelings, different emotional awareness that leads to self-management, control and social awareness, also governs students' motivation for creative processes in teaching.

We watched the movie by dr. Jonah Kabata Zinna called “What is focus?” and the video Colour Changing Card Trick and found that when we are focused on a task, it is easy not to notice some important details. I would recommend watching this very interesting video!

We also observed an emotional circle in which different emotions are recognized as well as the iceberg of anger (Anger Iceberg)

After we watched the video by Ellen Langer called “Let 's talk about Mindfulness” we talked about its innovative theory of attention and the concept of conscious learning. Are we as teachers aware of how our teaching influences precisely the development of conscious learning of our students?

At the end of the day, we spent a few practical exercises for focus. We were drawing individual objects so that for the first object we had almost 4 minutes and for each new object less and less time. We had to focus on the essentials in order to finish the drawing in time. The second exercise was to draw a black and white mandala, while the person next to us had to complete the drawing in color. It was fun and relaxing! Very positive emotions.
