Day 5 - 30th March 2022.

  • Day 5 - 30th March 2022.

Drugi dio terenskog rada smo nastavili u Arheološkom muzeju Limassola.

Dnevne aktivnosti smo nastavili u Galeriji modernih umjetnosti u Limassolu.

Osbno sam radila u PlantNet aplikaciji.

The fifth day was dedicated to fieldwork which was divided into two parts.

The first part was a visit to Akrotiri Salt Lake and Akrotiri Environmental Education Center. Akrotiri salt lake is one of the few wetlands in the Mediterranean. It is rich in many plant and animal species, it is one of the largest ornithological reserves in this part of the Mediterranean. It is attractive to tourists, especially children because of the large number of flamingos.

Next to the lake is an educational center where we got acquainted with his work.

We continued the second part of the fieldwork at the Limassol Archaeological Museum. To tour the exhibition, we were given special tasks that are an example of activities in museums. For example draw: an object from the 5th century BC, an object related to the wars of the gods, an object with geometric decoration, an object with a painted animal, an object related to Aphrodite, a female sculpture, a male sculpture, an object used for perfume, objects they played with.

We continued our daily activities at the Limassol Municipal Gallery.
The visit to the gallery was as interesting as the proposed activity - putting together a puzzle based on the works of art seen.

The day ended with a visit to the Municipal Garden where we had activities related to one of the ICT apps for identifying plants. I personally worked in the PlantNet app.
