"Creativity in the Classroom in Theory and Practice" in Istanbul from 9th March to 18th March 2020.
My name is Vesna Rak. I am a school psychologist with 12 years of working experience in education.
I have chosen “Creativity in the Classroom in Theory and Practice” course because I am persistently trying to provide an environment where the students are more likely to express their ideas, think outside the box, find methods for innovative problem solving and learn faster and more effectively. My objective is also to stimulate innovative thinking.
The conventional activities could be a very demotivating and boring for the students and they might lose their focus. The inclusion of the creative strategies is an instrument able to improve their focus and attention.
Undoubtedly the role of every good school is to get the best out of each student and help him/her to grow and develop into a creative individual. The pleasure of being creative is an appropriate motive that helps them in their further growth in academics.
In my opinion, creative expression plays an exceptionally important role in a student’s emotional development. Freedom of expression gives them a sense of goodness and happiness as well as the sense of joy that keeps them relaxed and less anxious.
I hope that I will be able to learn about a creativity from good practice abroad in order to develop and applicate new educational creative activities, to increase my job satisfaction and to make new contacts. Due to this, I expect the improvement of my work with the gifted students. Also I hope to increase the student’s motivation, along with dissemination of the creative techniques that can be used in implementing teach methods in order to increase student’s motivation in school subjects.

Izabrala sam tečaj „Kreativnost u razredu u teoriji i praksi“, jer ustrajno pokušavam pružiti okolinu u kojoj će učenici izraziti svoje ideje, „misliti izvan kutije“, naći metode za inovativno rješavanje problema i učiti efikasnije. Moj cilj je, također, stimulirati inovativno mišljenje.
Uobičajene aktivnosti mogu biti učenicima vrlo demotivirajuće i dosadne te mogu izgubiti fokus na sadržaj. Uključivanje kreativnih strategija je instrument koji može poboljšati njihov fokus i pažnju.
Nedvojbeno, uloga svake dobre škole je dobiti najbolje od svakog učenika i pomoći mu/joj rasti i razvijati se u kreativnog pojedinca. Zadovoljstvo stvaralaštvom je primjeren motiv koji podržava njihov daljnji razvoj u akademske građane.
Po mom mišljenju, kreativno izražavanje ima iznimno važnu ulogu u učeničkom emocionalnom razvoju. Sloboda izražavanja daje im osjećaj dobrote i sreće kao i osjećaj radosti koji ih relaksira i čini manje anksioznima.
Nadam se da ću učiti o kreativnosti iz dobre inozemne prakse s namjerom da razvijam i primjenjujem nove kreativne aktivnosti u obrazovanju, da povećam svoje zadovoljstvo poslom i stvorim nove osobne kontakte. Iz tog razloga očekujem da ću unaprijediti svoj rad s darovitim učenicima. Također, nadam se da ću povećati učeničku motivaciju zajedno s diseminacijom kreativnih tehnika koje se mogu implementirati u metode poučavanja s namjerom da povećaju učeničku motivaciju u nastavnim predmetima.
