Goals of the school are to develop communication skills in English and in other EU languages, boost interculturality, develop the maturity and training of the students and linguistic immersion.

Students, mostly from the first years of primary education, have been receiving bilingual training (English). Also, during the second stage, they have received bilingual (English) and French as a second language. The school is aware of the great need to continue in this line of introducing language learning in the classroom, making IES Los Cerros a cosmopolitan and innovative center, with an adequate language level to receive and request European programs and host EU teachers.

The schools consider vital: the mobility to and from other countries both teachers and students. The school demands continuous advancing in quality professional training and openness in all areas.

To complete the linguistic profile of the students of the IES Los Cerros, as extracurricular activities, English, Italian, German and Chinese classes are taught and the school is committed to continually increase the number of languages that can be taught in it.

Teachers from the English and French departments, as well as the bilingual teachers of the center, are responsible for the reception of the incoming students and teachers who come to make their job shadowing through our center. For the linguistic support of the visiting European students and/or faculty, the I.E.S. Los Cerros de Úbeda has staff in its accredited staff, specialized and experienced in teaching CLIL in order to ensure mobility of the highest possible educational quality.

Two teachers have recommended this school for job shadowing. One is a teacher that was job shadowing there last year and now has CLIL subjects in Maths. He says the school is excellent and he has learned so much about CLIL and new methodologies in Maths.

The other is a Spanish teacher that was our partner on our 1st Erasmus+ KA201 project. She says that the school is well known in Spain for its CLIL classes and amazing STEM projects that they have.

Ciljevi škole su razvijanje komunikacijskih vještina na engleskom i drugim jezicima EU, poticanje interkulturalnosti, razvoj zrelosti i osposobljenosti učenika te jezično uranjanje.

Učenici, uglavnom od prvih godina osnovnog obrazovanja, pohađaju dvojezičnu obuku (engleski). Također, tijekom druge faze dobili su dvojezični (engleski) i francuski kao drugi jezik. Škola je svjesna velike potrebe da nastavi s ovim smjerom uvođenja učenja jezika u učionici, čineći IES Los Cerros kozmopolitskim i inovativnim centrom, s odgovarajućom jezičnom razinom za primanje i traženje europskih programa i primanje nastavnika iz EU.

Škole smatraju vitalnim: mobilnost nastavnika i učenika u i iz drugih zemalja. Škola zahtijeva kontinuirano napredovanje u kvalitetnom stručnom usavršavanju i otvorenost u svim područjima.

Kako bi se upotpunio jezični profil učenika IES Los Cerros, kao izvannastavne aktivnosti održavaju se nastava engleskog, talijanskog, njemačkog i kineskog jezika, a škola se zalaže za kontinuirano povećanje broja jezika koji se u njoj mogu poučavati.

Učitelji s odjela engleskog i francuskog jezika, kao i dvojezični nastavnici centra, zaslužni su za prihvat dolaznih učenika i nastavnika koji dolaze kako bi pratili svoj posao kroz naš centar. Za lingvističku podršku gostujućim europskim studentima i/ili fakultetima, I.E.S. Los Cerros de Úbeda ima osoblje u svom akreditiranom osoblju, specijalizirano i iskusno u podučavanju CLIL-a kako bi se osigurala mobilnost najviše moguće obrazovne kvalitete.

Dvije učiteljice preporučile su ovu školu za praćenje posla. Jedan je učitelj koji je prošle godine tamo pratio posao, a sada ima CLIL predmete iz matematike. Kaže da je škola izvrsna i da je toliko naučio o CLIL-u i novim metodologijama u matematici.

Drugi je učitelj španjolskog koji je bio naš partner na našem 1. Erasmus+ KA201 projektu. Ona kaže da je škola poznata u Španjolskoj po svojim CLIL satovima i nevjerojatnim STEM projektima koje imaju.
