Shrovetide is the period from the Twelfth-night until Ash Wednesday. Especially the few last days of this period were official holidays of feasting for people in the past. A ceremonial procession of masks is a part of the festivity which goes through a village with music.
Fasching ist die Zeit zwischen den Drei Königen und dem Aschermittwoch. Besonders die letzten Tage waren die Feiertage in der Vergangenheit. Die Masken gehen noch heute durch die Städte und Dörfer von Haus zu Haus mit der Musik.
Masopust je období mezi svátkem Tří králů a Popeleční středou. Zejména poslední dny byly v minulosti svátky. Ještě dnes procházejí masky za doprovodu hudby městy a vesnicemi dům od domu.

Mesiac január je spojený s prípravou na fašiangové obdobie. V tomto období sa u nás traduje maškarný alebo karnevalový ples. Aj žiaci našej školy mali možnosť obliecť na seba svoje výtvory, ktoré si vytvárali na hodinách výtvarnej, regionálnej výchovy a po promenáde boli všetky originálne masky a kostýmy náležite vecne odmenené. Po vyhodnotení mali žiaci zábavu spojenú a hudbou a tancom. Žiaci , ktorí spolupracujú na tvorbe erasmových aktivít mali oblečené kroje a predstavovali kultúru a u nás, v Zubrohlave. Získali ocenenie poroty za originalitu.
The month of February is associated with the Passion period. In this period we have a tradition of masquerade or carnival ball. The pupils from our school had the opportunity to dress their own clothing made during art and regional lessons. All original masks and costumes were properly rewarded after the promenade. The pupils had fun with music and dance just after evaluating. All the pupils who collaborated on the creation of Erasmus activities were dressed in folk costumes and represented culture, and they received the jury’s award for originality in Zubrohlava.
