23.3.2 Poland - Workshops summarizing the project

  • On 22nd June 2017 the workshop took place in our school - a workshop summarizing the two-year Erasmus Plus project, "Culture and History without Borders - Success in Diversity, Diversity in Success." It started on 01st September 2015 and ends on 01st November 2017. During the course of the project, our students learned some regional Polish dances, for example "Marynia", "Wiwat", "Gołąbek" and "Przodek Szamotulski". Students from other countries were taught to dance these dances during the international meeting in Poland, which took place at the end of May and the beginning of June 2016. During this meeting the students from abroad also met our region and our history. They painted together, made stories, worked and learned together and then presented the effects of their work. The students of our school participated in 16 trips so far- local workshops and five international meetings. The knowledge and skills learned during the local and international trips were presented during open classes organized in our school. When traveling abroad, our students learned new things from their fellow students and from other countries, and on June 22, 2017 they wanted to show some newly acquired skills to their schoolmates.

The workshops were attended by all pupils from primary and secondary school, teachers and some parents. Amanda Dobrychłop, Magdalena Pietryga and Anna Ziółkiewicz, who took part in the international meeting in Italy, taught the students Italian "Tammurriata" dance, presented the places they visited and taught them how to make macaroni angels. Piotr Szczepański, Wiktoria Franczak and Ewelina Nowacka had the opportunity to participate in the second international meeting in Slovakia. Piotrek taught pupils how to decorate eggs with a mixture of nail polish, Ewelina taught how to make candles, and Wictoria showed how to make bathing bombs. They all learned these things during their stay in Slovakia.

Jakub Kosmala, Wiktor Ulanowski and Samuel Walczykiewicz took part in the meeting in the Czech Republic devoted to the culture and history of Turkey, where they learned many interesting things. Künafe pastry and Kömbe cakes were handled by Ola Płatek, Samuel Walczykiewicz and Wiktor Ulanowski. Weronika Pawlak taught Halay dance. Marbling technique workshop was conducted by Kamil Kąpiela and Jakub Kosmala. The last meeting in the Czech Republic, devoted to the culture and history of the Czech Republic, was attended by Julia Ćwiklińska, Hanna Kiełczewska, Szymon Jaroszewski, Marek Szczepański, Joachim Jalowski, Łukasz Staniszewski and Patryk Pławski. The rest of the pupils were tutors of basket weaving. At the end, everyone was able to taste the pastries and admire the effects of the work of the students participating in the workshop. All work was exhibited at the gym. Some of the Marbling work was given to the invited guests during the workshop.
