23.3.1 Poland - Open class in Mielżyn - summary of the project

  • On 21st June 2017 there was a summing presentation of Erasmus Plus project "Culture and History without Borders" in our school in Mielżyn. The students during the open class summarized the activities undertaken from January 2017 to June 2017 and those that were carried out throughout the project. The pedagogical innovation "Using the elements of CLIL" was also summarized. Its result is a school glossary, where the vocabulary from history, English, German and IT lessons is introduced and was presented during the open class. The students also presented two historical scenes depicting the Battle of Grunwald and the Battle of Britain. The task of the other students was to guess what the battle was.

    The whole class was conducted in three languages by: Wiktoria Franczak, Ewelina Nowacka and Weronika Pawlak.

    In the beginning, Kamil Kąpiela and Wiktor Ulanowski showed the presentation from the trip to Golub-Dobrzyn and Brodnica, which took place on January 27, 2017. Patryk Pławski and Damian Stawikowski told us about Kórnik, Winna Góra and Miłosław.

    Szymon Jaroszewski and Albert Łysiak presented a film from culinary workshops conducted by Mrs. Agata Dobrzykowska, during which pupils formed ad baked Easter mazurki. Workshops took place on March 10, 2017.

    About the trip to the Czech Republic, during which six pupils from our school met the culture and history of Turkey, told Samuel Walczykiewicz and Jakub Kosmala. The meeting lasted from 23rd April 2017 until 29th April 2017 and was held in Přimda. There was also a film from this trip, and finally the students danced the Turkish dance Halay, which they learned at the meeting. Students also told about one of the conference calls on Skype, which took place on 09th May 2017. It was intended to summarize the fourth international meeting in the Czech Republic.

    Hanna Kiełczewska and Szymon Jaroszewski presented the last international meeting, which also took place in the Czech Republic, but this time it was devoted to the culture and history of the Czech Republic. It lasted from 28th May 2017 until 02nd June 2017 in Přimda. Then pictures from the conference call on Skype on June 5, 2017 were shown, during which an evaluation of the fifth, last international meeting was held. This class was attended by parents, pupils, teachers and the Headmistress of the school in Mielżyn. During the meeting were presented souvenirs from national and international trips.
