This is the parcel the Greek team has sent to our Czech friends.
We have sent you an alphabet of Superfoods we have created for you, some mastic and some chewing gum flavoured with mastic which is very popular in Greece.
In our parcel we'll find two recipes whose main ingredient is mastic; one for a main course which includes many other Superfoods,as well and another for a traditional dessert that comes from Chios, the only place in the world where mastic is grown. You can cook the one you prefer or both, if you like.
Last but not least, we have sent you a Christmas card on which the Greek team has written their wishes for the New Year both in Greek and in English. The card depicts a boat which Greek people used to decorate at Christmas instead of a Christmas tree. This tree is ingeniously decorated with olive branches and pomegranates, two Superfoods which are closely associated with Greek culture.
All the things we have sent you are explained in a note written and painted by the Greek team. We are looking forward to your comments.

The Greek team
Dear friends in Greece,
On Tuesday 24 November the parcel from Greece was delivered to our school. We were really looking forward to it and were quite curious because we hadn´t heard about mastic before. On Wedneday 25 November in their English class the SEKUNDA class students opened the parcel. We were absolutely amazed - it didn´t contain just a package of MASTIC, but a lot of other things such as a beautiful hand-made Christmas card, a gorgeous ABC of Superfoods book and two recipes. And a long and really nice letter - all written in neat handwriting. We tasted the chewing gum with mastic flavouring - very special and not similar to anything we have here. MANY THHAAAAANKS!!! We really had a great time opening the presents and investigating its content. You are great (you even looked up the Czech expresion to say BON APETIT which is DOBROU CHUŤ :-) :-) :-) ) and we really appreciate everything you sent to us.
