Our visit to Cyprus was a remarkable experience, most of all for our students, who learnt very much. The meeting was very well planned and organised: workshops on augmented reality, robotics, 3D printing and creating e-books, Solar system, outdoor games and numeracy games for students, creating a seven-language dictionary.
Our students enjoyed the visit they had been looking forward very much - to the factory Engino, producing building blocks, from very simple ones to robotic systems, encouraging children to develop cognitive, social and motor skills. Our school also gave a small contribution to the interesting programme created by the hosts – our teacher Gordan Bartolić, together with our student Luka Lukačević, held a workshop on programming robotic cart.
We were able to learn about the history of the country in the best possible way – we visited the old town of Limassol, the capital of Nicosia, the archaeological remains of the ancient city of Kourion and the village of Lefkara, famous of needlecraft and traditional architecture. We enjoyed the nature, culture and tradition of this beautiful country, but most of all, the hospitality of the people, our hosts. Zoi, Koula, Elli and everybody from the Cypriot team, thank you for everything!
