Story from Italy

  •

Our Mascot came to visit pupils in year 3 and discussed with them what children’s rights and duties are.

They created a list of fundamental rights and duties. Then they were asked to bring their awareness to younger pupils. They organized the reading of a book, “the Big word factory” by Agnèse de Lestrade and Valeria Docampo, discussing the right of speech and prepared their own reading. After that, children of year three formed groups with younger pupils and started a cooperative art activity. Each group coloured a drawing being part of a big picture, representing the most significant children’s rights. The resulting work of art was then hung in the school.
