We had a team in school to celebrate Earth Day and they did activities with every class. Some children learnt about the importance of recycling, some went on a litter pick to clean up our local area, others visited a rubbish tip to learn how we can look after our world.

All of the activities were very interesting and the children know that it is our responsibility to look after our world and we need to spread the message far and wide to stop the most vulnerable from the tragic effects of pollution. This is such an important area that the Pope has even written a letter to everyone on the planet, telling us to act! We watched the special ‘Laudato Si’ video and then made posters to spread the message.
