Our Year One children took the responsibility for this task and even though they are very young, they still loved having the opportunity to be a tourist guide and at a very basic level, promote our region.

They loved going out in our school minibuses to visit our local landmarks - The Stadium of Light, Penshaw Monument, Seaham beach, ‘Tommy’, The Seven Sisters amongst other local attractions and finding out a brief history to then introduce these landmarks in our tourist video guide. They did a great job and it was lovely to be able to showcase our region and appreciate how lucky we are to have so many amazing attractions on our doorstep!
