Earth day was celebrated trying to get aware of the issues facing our planet. Our students in year 3 watched a video explaining what the greenhouse effect is and how it affects our environment.Then students were asked to read a text and answer some questions, in order to further increase their knowledge about this issue. Then they watched Greta Tunberg’s speech directed to the United Nations and, as a consequence, they were asked to find feasible actions to be carried out  in the school or at home. A list of activities was examined and students decided that every Thursday they would clean the garden of the school. From that day, they have done it with care and attention.

We also shared a Padlet page, containing all the activities and allowing a space for children to write their thoughts.
