My name is Almudena López from CRA Segóbriga (Saelices, Cuenca). I was participating in a course about CLIL in Dublin from 24/07/2017 to 04/08/2017. It was as a part of an Erasmus+ program. The programme organiser was "English Matters".There were 16 countries participating in different courses. The aims of the European Programme were not only promoting communication, we explored Irish culture, intercultural learning and a methodological point of view to use in our classes. We made investigative projects about specific subjects, in my case Art.We visited places of geographical, historical and cultural interest. In order to dissemination of learning we bear in mind this experiences and I try to share it not only with my colleges of school. It is a good idea to share it with as people as possible.
The experience has been something incredible. The social and cultural activities were a fantastic idea. We worked in small groups to prepare an investigative project. The results were excellent. We worked very hard to obtain good results. The teachers were hardly prepared to guide this task. We learned not only new vocabulary, we learned new strategies to teach different subjects, different ways to do activities and a lot of new things. We spoke with people from the city making interviews, knowing historical places, visiting museums and knowing a lot of Irish culture and history. We worked very hard but I enjoyed it too.
It has been a very useful time. I´d like being more time or come back again. The experience was great, very great. We learned a lot of new things, we practiced language, we met people from different countries and we knew about others cultures. It is something very interesting and it enriches us as person and as teachers too. I love this type of experiences.
