Our school is a public school with 580 students from 3 to 14 years old and 80 teachers. The schools are located in two different villages ( San Vito and Villaputzu) in every village there are1 kindegarten, I primary school and 1 lower Secondary school. Our timetable goes from 8.30 a.m to 13:30, without lunch ( we have 20 minutes break from 10.30 to 10.50 from Monday to Saturday. KIndegarten timetable goes from 8.00 to 16.00 fro Monday to Friday ( in Villaputzu Saturday morning also). Our curriculum includes: Italian language, mathematics, natural sciences, English, history, geography, art education, music and physical education; we have Religion as optional subject, pupils can choose a different option instead of Religio and Lower Secondary school curriculum included Freng language also. During PE activities we have some expert for support teachers in implementation activities, volleyball. Moreover we have some lab in the afternoon for develop creativity and for ICT, particularly dedicated to pupils whith special needs and social disadvantages. Both villages are located in the south east Sardinia. In a rural area, near the sea, 70 km far from the main city. The economic activity of the villages is based mainly on the agriculture, sheep farming and the tertiary sector. We have about 100 students in each primary and secondary school and about 45 in each kindegarten. The socio-economical background of the students families is medium or medium-low. The special needs are varied, We have some immigrants families from Cina, Poland,Tunisia. Our school is statal school. - General needs of students, career prospects:

Our aim is to motivate students with different approaches and cooperative learning and to raise their attainment for school We are involved in the “National plan for digital school” ( PNSD) by our Ministery of education in order to improve the use of digital resources in classroom( enhance teachers competences; funding for devices and software; introduce innovation in school). Our school gained great experience in European projects since 2010 with a Comenius partnership- Erasmus Partnership; in-service training for teachers under Comenius and Erasmus plus;the school was appointed for training other schools in implementation Erasmus plus projects. We are also very actively in eTwinnin. One teacher is eTwinning ambassador and take part to different Conference and workshop at European level. Our needs is to innovate teaching/Learning environment taking inspiration by the future lab classroom. Improve language competences of students. |
