Day 2

  • Second day of my job shadowing experience started with a Spanish class where the students interpretate a novel Don Quijote de la Mancha by Cervantes. They read the novel every friday in the library. After the class, I witnessed the drama rehearsal. They are rehearsing a drama play by Alejandro Casona, La dama del alba. In the next literature class they have been working on a Voltaire's piece Candide. They performed an interview between a writer and a charachter (Voltaire and Candide). It was a very interesting dialog in which character complains to the author about his hard life in the novel. After the dialog, students had a debate about the posibility of changing the world with education and the difference between the Voltaires world and the world in which we are living today. They compared what Voltaire is critisizing in his society and what we are critisizing in our society.

    After the school activities, I visited beautiful old town of Cuenca, famous hanging houses, San Pablo monastery, Chatedral, Playa Mayor, old castle etc.

     

    Drugi dan počeo je sa satom španjolskog jezika na kojem su učenici interpretirali Cervantesovog Don Kihota. Ono što je tanimljivo, svakog petka čitaju to djelo tijekom petnaestominutne stanke u školi. Nakon sata španjolskog jezika prisustvovala sam probi Dramske grupe. Na sljedećem satu književnosti obraživao se Voltaireov Kandid. Tijekom nastave upotrebljavaju dramske tehnike na nastavi, npr. intervju između pisca i lika iz djela, debata i sl.

    Nakon završenog dana u školi, posjetila sam stari dio Cuence, poznatu atrakciju viseće kuće, samostan San Pablo, katedralu i ostale znamenitosti.
