Aleksandra together with Natalka presented useful information about the first part of the project. 

The first topic of the first subproject is: “Going with the Time”.

We were to work on this project  from  September 2020 till June 2021 but, because of the pandemic, we will continue working on it till the first semester of the next school year.

3. The languages of communication will be English and German. Highschool nr 8 from Krakow and HPS from Buxtehude are in charge of the project.

There are four most important work areas: intercultural dialogue in TwinSpace, international online project meetings, international meetings in Krakow and Buxtehude and the reading campaign.

During our first international online meeting In December, we came up with  discussion topics for part one of the project. The next step should be an international meeting in Krakow and working on materials for the reading campaign. Then we should meet in Buxtehude and sum up our discussions in TwinSpace . A question arises: when will it be possible?

How are we going to communicate  in TwinSpace ? We have five discussion forums where we publish our articles and post comments on the articles written by our partners. The tips how to do it can be found on forum OO `About the project`

The discussion forums are: In Line with Nature, Limits of Civilisation Progress, Globalization, Media Power and Earth Civilisation in Space. Each school is responsible for one discussion  forum.

For each forum we have five discussion topics. Altogether  there are 25 discussion topics to be debated. Teams from each partner school have already written five articles and now each school is expected to write at least one comment on every article. Of course, there can be more comments as this school year we are concentrating only on this element of the project.

We are supposed to write comments till June and this is how we are going to build our intercultural dialogue. It is too early now to predict when we will be able to work on  other elements of the project.

What should be the outcome of the project? First of all, a project  canon of 25 books. This part is done.

The next goals  are:  another  issue of the international magazine ”Miteinander”, this time  titled “ Going with the Time”, materials for the reading campaign (three lesson scripts – in English, German , mother tongue), Literary Evening script, posters and an advert. There is also the reading campaign carried out among students in each partner school as well as local community and, of course,  public TwinSpace.

There is nothing more to say except: Let us roll up our sleeves then and get  to work,  despite the pandemic.
