TOPIC :  Painting on the snow

Subject : transcurricular teaching Art and English

ART - LESSON PLAN

MATERIAL AND DEVICES WHICH WILL BE USED IN THIS ART LESSON:

• spray bottles (or any plastic bottles with a cap);
• liquid watercolours, tempera liquid paints or gouache;
• Water;
• Brushes;
• Camera or phone.

AIMS OF THE LESSON:

• to generalize and boost pupils’ knowledge about the colours;
• to develop pupils‘ speaking skills and to memorize some names of the colours in different languages;
• to encourage students to create their own picture and to make a postcard;
• to develop pupils’ creative skills and match music to the painting.

IN CLASS:

• Teacher arranges students for group work  ;
• Teacher presents and students learn some names of colours in six different languages;
• Analyzing what colours are neutral, cold, warm;
• Deciding what colours would express students’ today’s emotions best;
• Pupils choose the colours for painting

ART OUTSIDE:

• Students make snow angels, colour them (motivate the colour choice);
• Take a picture.

In class

• Match  pieces of music or sounds to the picture;
• Print pictures and making  postcards;
• Write season’s greetings in different languages.
