    Short description (impact on students): The students learnt facts about the importance of tea in the English culture

    Time: 21st April 2022

    Learning objectives:  - learn facts about the history of tea ;

                                           - learn about the importance of Catherine of Braganza in the English court;

                                           - recognise the different types of tea and its benefits;

                                           - learn how to make the perfect tea.

     

     

    Process: The class started with the teacher asking the students about their preferences and knowledge about tea. Then a video with the history of tea was shown. The students became aware of the importance of Catherine of Braganza, a Portuguese woman, in turning the tea into a fashionable drink. After, the students were introduced into the different tea types and its benefits. Almost concluding, a video was shown with the tips on how to make the perfect tea. To conclude the students were invited to prepare their own tea, with or without milk and some cakes were shared.
