    Short description (impact on students):

    On a one-day trip, the students combined pleasant free time with useful learning and discovering the beauty of the cultural heritage of our region. They toured the Trakošćan castle and the city of Varaždin, worked in groups and developed their communication skills. The students were actively involved, showed an interest in learning about the history of our region and wrote interesting blogs in Sway.

    Students will be able to:

    • explain the concept of cultural heritage
    • list examples of tangible and intangible cultural heritage in Croatia
    • independently or with a little help from the teacher, evaluates and selects the necessary data from the data found.
    • creates new works and ideas
    • cites examples of protected cultural heritage in Croatia, explains the importance of protected localities as an economic potential and an element of identity, and participates in conservation activities and appropriate evaluation of heritage at the local, regional and national level.

     

    Activities for students:

    The activity consisted of a tour of Trakošćan Castle and the town of Varaždin (Old Town, Corzo, Cathedral, county palace, town hall) accompanied by a professional guide. During the tour, the students had to be attentive and listen to the guide because they had tasks on QR codes that related to a certain location. They were divided into groups and the group had to take a photo at a certain location in Trakošćan or in Varaždin and write something about that location using Sway.
