Aims:
1. Observe the weather, daily changes in the surroundings.
2. Learn specific glossary related to the weather, nature.
3. Read, watch and find out about the weather in your country
3. Introduce the weather forecast to the class. ( as PP or using other programs Story jumper/Padlet ,etc)
Impact on students
Learn specific glossary related to the weather
Use different devices for observing/ recording the weather: smartphones, computers, Tv.
Study the weather apps, weather forecast sites, weather charts, photos showing different seasons.
Master personal and cognitive skills, booster self- esteem, practice public speaking, pronunciation, articulation.
Act as weather forecast presenters introducing presentations to the audience.
Lesson 1
Planning
Introduce the topic and the aims, explain the tasks for the next classes.
Ask the students to
1. track the weather for 3 – 4 days and make notes.
2.watch some weather forecasts on TV or computer.
3. take pictures of the surroundings or/and nature phenomenon (rain, rainbow, lightning, etc)
4. find pictures with different seasons, from holiday places.
Warming –up activities: brainstorming/group work students in groups of 4 in 3 minutes write the words related to the weather.
The steps of the lesson
The teacher shows a video about the weather.
She asks the group leaders to read the words from the list which can be used for this video. Then the teacher introduces the glossary with useful words.
The students practice the vocabulary by doing exercises word completion/missing letters, (gap filling),
Finishing sentences with weather words.
Students watch through the window and describe the weather using dialogue sample (pair work)
Students watch Tv presenters on Youtube to find out about how they can introduce the weather

Second lesson
WEATHER PRESENTER of the Day.
The aim of the lesson
- to show off the skills as presenters,
- introduce and compare the weather
- master personal skills, booster self- esteem, practice public speaking, pronunciation, articulation.
The process
The students present the weather in the way they like.
Evaluation : after each presentation students vote using colours of the rainbow (ROYGBIV).
Each student draws a rainbow and after each presentation colours/evaluates classmate’s preasentation.
At the end of the lesson the exposition of rainbows is displayed.
Outstanding work loved everything - red,
How original - orange,
How artistic - yellow,
It was good - green,
I liked it but it wasn’t your best performance - blue
Could be better for sure - indigo
Don’t worry, next time you will do better - violet
