Students from Ins Ferran Tallada, Barcelona, participated in a two-year-long campaign to promote the use of recyclable materials to wrap their mid-morning snacks. The main objective was to make the whole school aware of the large quantity of residues coming from breakfast wrappers and to change their personal habits to reduce the environmental impact.

Breakfast were classified, counted and weighed periodically in order to evaluate progress in the use of reusable materials. Results were shared at teacher and students meetings organized by the council of Barcelona in the context of "Escoles més sostenibles".
