    LTTA 2 MAY 2019

    PROJECT CONCERT 

    Polish, Romanian, and Czech teachers taught their traditional dances to the participants and Spanish pupils. The outcomes were presented during the concert in Benetússer in May 2019.

    Performance of the Czech workshop on polka "Roll out the Barrels" which was composed by Czech musician Vejvoda and was translated into more than 20 languages. It became popular during WWII. Polka is a typical traditional dance in Czechia and there are many traditional steps. The dancers are Czech and Spanish pupils and in the end, they sing this song in Spanish translation together with the Spanish coordinator Miriam.

    MAYPOLE DANCE WORKSHOP

    Spanish pupils presented traditional dance with May Pole to the international participants during LTTA 2 in Benetússer in May 2019.

    FOLKLORE CLUBS

     

     

    ROMANIAN FOLKLORE CLUB

    Romanian pupils took part in a folklore festival in May 2018.

    Romanian pupils prepared traditional Carnival traditions, songs, and dances which they performed in winter.

    CZECH FOLKLORE CLUB

    Pupils prepared performance with traditional winter rhymes, carol, and games. They performed it in February 2018 for Sokol organization and in December 2019 in our school.

    PERFORMANCE WINTER 2019

    Czech folklore club prepared performance Winter with traditional songs, rhymes, and dances and added dance Těšiňok which was also part of the Czech traditional dance workshop in Joensuu in September in 2018. Folklore club visited classes 4. C, 3. C and 2. D, they involved the audience in some dances. Honza sang a traditional song.

      

      

     

    ON THE PASTURE 2019

    Czech folklore club prepared a new performance with dances, songs, and rhymes which children used to do when they were looking after cows and other domestic animals in the pastures. Pupils performed it together with Sokol senior dance group in the Senior club in Rychvald in June 2019. They performed it also at Music and Art Schools Open happening in Bohumín in May 2019, at St Peter and Paul Fair in Vítkovice in June 2019.

      

    Pupils prepared this new performance for the Regional Folklore Parade in Orlová in March 2019. They invited Children Cymbal Orchestra from Háj to play for them.

     

    CASTING AWAY MORENA 2019

    Czech folklore club prepared traditional performance with songs, rhymes, and games connected with casting Morana, a symbol of Winter, into water. Boys burnt Mařák, their symbol of Winter. Then children brought Majiček, a symbol of Spring. After this performance pupils went to the Ostravice River and threw Morana into water. Before throwing Morana in the river, her clothes were taken away.

      

     

    PERFORMANCE WINTER 2018

    In February 2018, the Czech folklore club prepared the traditional performance for Sokol ball in Vítkvice.

    CASTING AWAY MORENA 2018

    Pupils prepared the traditional performance for Sokol Vítkovce in March 2018. They also threw Morana in the real water, the Ostravice River.
