Coding and robots in LTTA 2 in Spain

  • CODING WITH DA VINCI

Italian team prepared a workshop for a mixed nationalities group. Pupils learnt about important Leonardo da Vinci's achievements through playing educative coding activities. We wanted to remind pupils that it is 500 years from his death.

    FLIPPED CODING WORKSHOP

Spanish pupils from grade 6 prepared a coding workshop for the international teachers during LTTA 2 in Benetússer in Spain in May 2019. They usually teach unemployed people how to code and enjoyed teaching teachers.

They introduced the coding language which they learnt with the micro: bits. Then they started to teach singing and dancing their little blue robots. Finally, they showed all the other robots which they can use. Each pupil had his or her blue robot. The bigger robots they share.

This workshop was held in a nearby middle school which most of our young "teachers" will attend next year. This school uses 3D printer Průša which was developed by Czech engineers and is also produced in the Czech Republic.

International teachers also discussed how coding and robotics are taught in our schools and the Croatian and Polish teachers shared photos of their robots and workshops.

At the end of this page are 3 videos where you can see what the pupils taught their robots. A dance!
