    St. Marek Church is famous for its front roof decorated with Croatian symbols.

    HRADČANY CASTLE

    The dominant of Prague is also the seat of the Czech president. It is situated on a little hill near the Prague centre. Part of the castle complex is St. Vitus Cathedral. There are museums explaining Czech history. The real coronation jewelry is in a safe place and they are exhibited only on special days. You can see the copy.

    PETŘÍN WATCHTOWER

    This watchtower is a replica of the Eiffel tower. It was built for the world exhibition about 100 years ago. You can visit the mirror maze near this tower. There is a nice view of Prague from the tower. And you can see it from the Prague Castle.

     

    STRAHOV MONASTERY LIBRARY

    It is one of the most beautiful historic libraries in the world. This magnificent Baroque library is situated close to Prague Castle and Petřín Hill. The Strahov Monastery was founded in the 12th century and belongs among the oldest monasteries in Czechia. It still serves its purpose, monks live here. You can see very very very old books there.

    NATIONAL THEATRE

    People collected money and sent a stone from each village or town to built it. When it was finished there was a fire and destroyed the theatre. People did not give up and built it again.

     

    FINLAND - HELSINKI

    Helsinki Lutheran cathedral also known as the Great Church was completed in Neoclassical style 1852.

    Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral reminds the period of Russian rule

     

    ITALY - TORINO

    The Film Museum is located in the building with the tall tower which is the dominant of the city.

    Superga is on a mountain in Torino. During an aircraft crash, the whole Torino football team died here. At that time, it was the best Italian football team and most of the players were Italian representatives. This church was built here to commemorate this event.

     

    ROMANIA - BUCURESTI

    The Caucescu Palace is now the seat of the Romanian parliament and a museum. It is visible from far away because it is located at the end of the wide main avenue on a little hill in the historic centre. Many historic buildings were torn down so that there was space for this huge building. The perimeter is about 1 kilometre long. There is a museum inside.

    LA SAGRADA FAMILIA

    The Basílica de la Sagrada Família, also known as the Sagrada Família, is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. They are building it for almost 100 years.
