    ILLUSTRATIONS FOR "AFRICA STORY"

Czech pupils from class 5D worked together on these illustrations for the Africa story, But then the schools were locked down due to the Coronavirus pandemic and our film project was not finished. So here is the script for the movie.

    SCENE 1

It happened in Africa. In the tents erected on a riverbank, tired white travellers and native luggage carriers were taking a rest.

    SCENE 2

Some of them ran to the river, others were preparing baggage for the next day trip. Suddenly, a desperate cry was heard from the river. People looked at the river bend. They saw a curly head that was carried away by the river current. It seemed that the swimmer was successfully fighting the current and getting back to the river bank.

    SCENE 3

When the boy was almost at the bank, he suddenly made a sharp turn and swam away to the middle of the river. Everybody knew why he did it. A huge crocodile, whose back was almost all underwater, was chasing the swimmer. The distance between the crocodile´s mouth and the boy was getting smaller.

    SCENE 4

Suddenly, a boat occupied by four rowers appeared on the river. All people were trying hard to save the poor boy. Would they succeed? This question could be read from all the faces around.

    SCENE 5

The boat with the rowers got close to the crocodile´s back. The rowers at the front picked they oars and started to hit the water. This rocked the boat. It was taking water from both sides, but it didn´t sink. In a while, the rowers pulled the boy out of the water.

    SCENE 6

The boy was saved and all people on the river bank were rejoicing.
