Pupils find for each country something that represents the country : monument, food, famous character, ... and stick on the country what they chose..

For example, is you think that the Eiffel Tower represents France, you stick an Eiffel tower on France.

When something is found for all the European countries, each country take a photo, keeps a piece of the map (the A part) and sends the other parts to partner coutries, respecting the following instructions :

Deadline: 26th February all the countries should have received the partner countries pieces of map.

The Future Europe by Oulu University Teacher Training School

In Oulu we started the preparing of the suitcases by discussing about the future Europe with 3rd graders. First each pupil created a mind map. Then we made a "word cloud" by mentimeter.

    It looks like this:

The main points are: no poverty, no hunger, peace--no wars.

One day later the same pupils created the word cloud in English. It looks like this

The students  from 2,3, and 4 grade  worked in small teams to drow the peaces of the European map and  to collected images  to illustrate  famous facts for the partner countries and to put the images on the relevant place on the map.

In  small groups  again the students 3b class together with their teacher Boyana Filipova  prepared  the Bulgarian travelling bags and then sent them to our partners

Very soon we received in SU Ekzarh Antim I all partners bags. Then we created an exhibition for all students primary level to see the  European union bags, the collaborative European map, the partner students letters, puzzels, souvenirs. Everybody were so excited. This activity was unic  experiance.

The students were happy to read the partner letters and to solve the puzzles sent by every partner school.

    WHAT AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!

Receiving a travelling bag with a letter, some souvenirs, a piece of the Europe's map, the jigsaw of the school and a small gift... is like a present to each of our students which will remember forever.

The travelling bags allowed us to learn about our partner countries, we improved our reading skills, we enhanced the value of Euroepan citizenship and we also strengthed the sense of responsibility towards the Europe of the future.

Opening the travelling bags was a great experience. The students were happy to read and hear the greetings in letters and seeing all those wonderful presents. They wanted to try the Catalan "hat" and wear the back bag. We arranged an exhibition about the gifts so that the whole school can share this lovely way of "meeting" the partners. Thank you so much, dear partners!
