CONNECTED OR DISCONNECTED?

OBJECTIVE
Identify activities that necessarily require the use of the Internet, and those that can be carried out without the intervention of the Internet.
TIME EXPECTED
A session of 45 - 60 minutes.
DEVELOPMENT
In small groups, design a timeline for a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) indicating activities that do not involve the use of the Internet, specifying the time slots and trying to be realistic in the proposals, i.e. including activities that are within reach. The idea is to live disconnected for a weekend.
In the same way, they will design a timeline for a weekend where a large part of the proposed activities require the use of the Internet, i.e. living online.
Afterwards, a large group discussion can be held on the advantages and disadvantages of online and offline activities, and on the importance of finding a balance between both types of activities in our daily lives.
To design timelines, the teacher can use whatever resources he/she deems necessary and has available.
HELP FOR TEACHERS
Online activities are any behaviour or action that implies the need to use the Internet or to have used the Internet before or afterwards in order to carry out that activity. For example: downloading songs to listen to them on the iPad implies prior use of the Internet.
Bear in mind that the connection to the Internet can be established from different devices: latest generation phones, tablet, computer, PDI, iPad, iPod, video game console, etc.
