Polish Team impressions

  • Me and my two colleagues took part in 3rd short term joint staff training event of the project I.D.E.A. Together we can! in Montorio Romano in Italy, from 27th to 31st May.

Journey by plane, train, stay in Montelibtetti, help of our Italian partners (especially Tilde) are my memories of the first day of mobility. Unfortunately, we were welcomed by untypical weather for Italy…rain L. And it was raining during almost whole meeting.

I remember the following points of the official programme… On Monday we took part in the meeting in Monteflavio library, official welcoming of all partners, lecture about Italian System of Education. I like the idea of inclusive education. Lifting barriers, both psychological, educational, technical, organizational and architectural are the factors which allow students with special needs to attend to regular schools. Also we were acquainted with PEI – Individualized Educational Plan for disabled students – through PPT presentation, open discussion, group work. On Tuesday we were welcomed by the students involved in project. I was impressed by the music show made by them and tour around the premises. We had a chance to listen about the evolution of the school inclusion in Italy and the importance of the values enclosed in the concept of inclusion. On Wednesday we visited school in Rieti and took part in a lecture Presentation of best practices and projects for inclusion of SEN students. Thursday was a day of visit in Rome, in State Institute for the Deaf. On the last day we saw Performance of the infant and primary school of Nerola about inclusion and emotions connected with famous Disney cartoons. I was really impressed!!!

Meetings with students and meals prepared for us by them, workshop about emotions where I could cooperate with students, idea of inclusion, folk dance lesson conducted by Caterina, methods of work with deaf are unforgettable memories for me.

I was also impressed by unique Italian history and culture. We visited many beautiful places…Villa Adriana, Orsini Castle, Old Town in Rieti, Rome and its famous venues like Piazza di Spagna, Fontana di Trevi, Colosseo, Colonna Traiana, Piazza Venezia. Now, I know why Rome is called “eternal city”. The capital of Italy is majestic and impressive, full of variuos styles and trends. I wanted to stay there longer...

And… I love Italian cuisine. It has a great variety of different ingredients, exceptional tastes. We ate in various restaturants Mamma mea, Da Federico, Torres enoteca  and farawell dinner in  Allo Scapicollo in Monteflavio. Italian cuisine is very close to my heart, everything was served with passion and heart.

3rd short term joint staff training event of the project I.D.E.A. Together we can! in Montorio Romano in Italy was a time full of educational, cultural, historic and culinary impressions. I met many interesting people. I dream of coming back to Italy.

Thank you Italian team for your hospitality and warmth! It was a wonderful meeting!
