Eco-life with plastic!

On Monday we went to Gabi Plast, that is a company with trades and produces single-use plastic countainers. It’s one of the biggest companies in the area.

We had the opportunity to compare plastic to other materials. The manager told us that plastic isn’t so bad as long as it is kept in a loosed loop. But the coop isn’t closed perfectly and trash is landing om the streets. Plastic needs less energy and resources than paper or wood. In addiction the cover weight of the plastic saves transportation costs. The best thing we can do to make plastic more eco-friendly is sorting and recycling it.

EU is going to reduce plastic pollution by new regulations. By 2021, some plastic products like single-use cutlery and straws will be banned.

The companies which deal with plastic wil be forced to change their products. Futhermore, the producer has to pay for plastic containers becouse of the pollution they cause.

If you want to make your life „eco”, you don’t have to resign of plastic at all, you must remember to sort it and use it only when it’s necessary.
