Annual Young Entrepreneurs' Day at HKHS

  •

On 20th March 2019 during the Annual Young  Entrepreneurs’ Day our students from the Erasmus project visited GabiPlast – a local company which deals with the trade and production of disposable packaging.

The students had an opportunity to analyse advantages and disadvantages of some different kinds of production methods and they got to know some unwanted ways of fabricating eco-friendly packages. They also learnt what kind of plastic is the least damaging for the environment. Thanks to the visit in this place, the students could realise how high a demand for disposable packaging is.

Moreover, on this day our students from the project group visited Waste Management Plant in Witaszyczki nearby Jarocin.

It is a high-tech facility dealing with sorting and processing all kinds of rubbish using mechanical and biological ways. Students were able to see massive halls of manual and mechanical sorting, warehouses to store various rubbish types as well as a massive machine where biogas is produced.

It was a very valuable lessons to all of us. The possibility to see the amount of rubbish we produce daily was eye-opening.

The last place to visit during this day was a company Meh-Rol-Plast which is located in Kozmin Wielkopolski. The guide presented the production of underfloor in this company in a really environmentally-friendly way.

This day was a great opportunity to think about ecology and plastic in our daily lives.
