Exchange in HKHS in Krotoszyn - 26.05 - 1.06.2019

  • INSIDE THE EXCHANGE

Have you ever heard about the “Life-In-Plastic” Erasmus+ project?

“Life-In-Plastic” is an international project financed by the European Union.
It consists of doing exchanges among the four countries: Denmark, Italy, Poland and Germany. The first exchange took part from 3rd- 7th of February in Germany. The second one from 26th of May to 1st of June in Poland. In Poland- exchange we met to share information about the waste disposal system in one countries.

Although we have all got different cultures, we tried to learn and respect other traditions. An example for that was dancing the “Belgijka” and tasting the “Pierogi”. Before we met, everyone of us was very curious and excited. Some students thought there would be a lot of cars and industries, so they were really happy to see how peaceful and quiet it was, Polish people were all very friendly and open, so it was easy for us to feel comfortable. We were very surprised by Danish students because they were really brave speaking to us in a really good English, though they were only 12-13 years old. Italian girls were open, loud and dancing a lot, just as their stereotype says. Germans were called to be very strict but when they arrived we found out they were just as interested in the topic as all the others. We had a lot of fun together doing activities like canoeing and birdwatching, we talked a lot to each other and got new good friends. Students from other countries directly got part of their host families and did activities like watching TV. meeting other families and eating together. Communication was mostly no problem which was really surprising for us.

We would highly recommend this experience to all the students who want to learn how to speak other languages or to meet other cultures: we all had fan. We hope you will live something like that because it is really worth it.
