OPEN DAY SCIENCE WORKSHOPS
This year we we replaced Biology Night event with Science Workshops run by students/teacher teams in mathematics, biology, chemistry and physics.
We invited students from a number of lower secondary schools in our area to share our knowlegde and skills. We got everyone together to collaborate in a series of practical experiments and interactive games and we took the opportunity to raise our guests (7 groups of 10-25 students each) awareness about plastic issues that our project is dealing with.
Our Erasmus group ran one of the workshops in which we played a kahoot game centred around plastic consumption, then enjoyed a session of I-spy-with-my-little-eye game based on a plastic mockumentary and finished off with two "head-scratchers" - guesssing games stimulated by senses of touch and smell. And - thank you Nancy! - we had fun playing a round of 7-up.
