Research on the routes that led to the cathedral

  • RESEARCH ON CHRISTIAN PILGRIMAGES

Once again, the Spanish students from 6th grade of Primary Education have done an activity that was part of the Erasmus+ project "UNESCO Passport".

This time, in order to complement what they had previously learnt about the life of the Apostle Saint James and the different routes of the Camino de Santiago (The Way of Saint James), they carried out a complete investigation about the different pilgrimages of the Christian tradition.

Through this, they have learnt interesting information about Jerusalem, Canterbury, Rome, Lourdes and Fatima. First, they collected data about the origins of these places, the time when the pilgrimages began, the outstanding monuments that can be seen along the routes and at the destination itself, and some curiosities, among other things.Once the information was compiled and verified, they created four different books, which also included photographs of the pilgrimages and sanctuaries. Here you can see the final result. We hope you like it!
