In February 2019 our Erasmus+ team gathered in our school for a workshop to create their own "lace" masterpieces.

The group worked with fishermen's thread and wooden boards. Each piece of lace is completely unique and it can only be created with patience.

The aim of this workshop is to encourage the students' creativity and to raise awareness about how important it is to preserve these amazing works of art for future generations.

Our team have consequently realised how much creative effort is needed by the Benedictine nuns, to create the famous "Hvar Lace".

Our famous agave lace was added to UNESCO's World Heritage List in 2009.
