A group of girls at a Primary School in Huelva, CEIP García Lorca, near IES San Sebastián, have designed a model of an Eco-City. They are five girls and her teacher, Diana. The model has been made using recycled materials.
It is a city where everything works on renewable energies like wind, solar or even kinetic energy; for example, there is a gym which takes advantage of the energy produced by machines like treadmills os spinning bicycles.
Rainwater is also collected to be reused. Not only that, they have invented a mobile phone app to communicate the City Mayor about any incident in relation to waste disposals.
They applied for a contest, PlayEnergy: my intelligent city, and have been awarded first national prize by Endesa.

They have a Recycling Manual on their web page at school (that's an idea for us to be implemented) as well as resources to work Environmental issues.
Carmen, the Coordinator of the project is in touch with Diana. Students at IES San Sebastián watched the video, which they found really interesting especially by the fact that it was made by 5 girls around 10 years old. We have some volunteers to write English subtitles and even off voice it.

At the event presided by the Mayor, the province representative of the Department of Education, The Chairman of the Management Board of ENDESA and some other representatives:
Some students at 2 ESO had rewritten RIDDLES to reflect on what an eco-city is or is not:
Original Riddle:
I have streets but no pavement,
I have cities but no buildings,
I have forests but no trees,
I have rivers yet no water.
What am I?
Rewritten Riddle:
I have streets with no trees
I have cities but dirty buildings
I had forests but they burned
I had rivers with they were polluted
What am I?
