Antonia Nevado (who is actually my mother) is very pleased to contribute to our project The Art of Recycling and Reuse. Born in 1937 and suffered the effects of the Spanish Civil War, always taught us to avoid wasting or throwing away.
Very skillful with handicrafts, here are some of her works which she insisted on being shown in our project:
- Old suitcase upcycling:
- Old slippers, hanger:
- Toy House made out of recycled materials.
- Crochet to upcycle towels, handbags.
- Towel Embroidery:
- Bobbin lace making. One of these works we should recuperate.

She never throws food away, and can make delicious recipes with basic and scarce ingredients:
Garlic soup: 1 clove of garlic, a pinch of salt, pepper, red pepper, 1 egg, bread leftovers, white wine, water.
