Charity Barter Market

  •  So as to accomplish some of our project goals, we appealed to the school community to collect items of clothing in good condition. The reason was to start a charity barter market.

Every item was given a "non-monetary" price, i.e. instead of money, a value for food. So, for example, a jacket will be worth 2 packets of biscuits, 2 chocolate bars, 2 tetra packs of milk. The collected food was given to a well-known parish with people in need.

Students made the labels themselves and decided on the value of every item.

Everyone seemed to enjoy this activity!

Finally, one of the students at Commerce Activities (Vocational Studies), decorated a shop window as part of his final evaluation. Charity barter market ready!
