Kingfisher class at St Julian's school travelled to London to find out all about the making of the Harry Potter films. We learned about how many different jobs and roles there are in making and producing a film. We also had a really interesting workshop ' script to screen' where we learned about the connections beween writing a script and turning that into a film.
It was an amazing experience- ' we can't believe we have come here on a school trip' said one of our year 5 children. ' I've been really inspired to write my own script play now' said a year 6.
When we returned to school we spent a lot of time writing our own scripts for plays- the results have been fantastic. The children have been so inspired by all they saw on the trip.It has been wonderful for the children to see how many roles are involved in film making and all the connections between them.
