All of the children in Key stage Two at St Julian's Primary school travelled to Bristol to look up close at the Clifton Suspension Bridge designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

 

               

It is suspended over the River Avon and it is a long way down!!!

 

                   We were shown the cables they use and we could test how strong they were.

We are going to have a go at designing our own bridges next- I wonder if any of us will end up being as famous as Brunel?
