The Vikings

  • Shoscombe and St Julian's Schools have been learning about the The Vikings - the fierce invaders from Scandenavian countries such as Denmark and Norway who came to our shores and settled, gradually conquering most of England between about 800 to 1066. In 1016 King Cnut of Denmark was King of England also.                                                                                                                                                                                                                             At Shoscombe we had a Viking day lead by this impressive invader! Look out for some of our work we will add to this page shortly!

Pupils at St Julian's have also been engaged in some very hands on learning about the vikings.  They have made some fabulous Viking boats out of a wide range of materials.
