CONNECTIONS IN ENGINEERING, SCIENCE and ARCHITECTURE

  • When the partner schools were visiting Bath, we visited the Holburne Museum and learnt about it's history and architecture. We made drawings of the outside of the building, and then designed our own connecting buildings.

We also walked along the River Avon and the canal looking at the architecture of Bath and the engineering of bridge building and canal locks. The canal locks  connect sections of the canal and also connect the canal to the river which flows to Bristol and the sea.

The canals were built before the railway came to Bath and were very important for transporting goods and materials.
