Clim'Way

  • The Clim'Way Martinique game is a virtual environment of Martinique's Climate Plan. This is to show how the territory can move towards sustainable lifestyles to reduce GHG emissions (Greenhouse Gases), energy consumption and anticipate the consequences of climate.
Martinique has embarked on a voluntary initiative embodied in its Climate and Territorial Energy Plan (PCET). Its goal is to fight against climate change and reduce the island's vulnerability to climate hazards.
The game CLIM'WAY Martinique is an original adaptation of CLIM'WAY game, created by Cap Sciences. This adaptation was designed specifically for the territory of Martinique and at the request of Carbet des Sciences.
    The aim of the game
It focuses on sustainable development, climate change and eco-friendly lifestyles.
Without action on your part, energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions will increase each year. The "nothing is done to fight climate change" scenario. is adapted to the specificities of the territory of Martinique. The 34 communes have inspired the local and territorial particularities, are pictorially represented.
If the development of Martinique continued on the current bases: overconsumption of energy, massive use of fossil fuels, increase of road transport, excessive production of waste, intensive agriculture, little place for renewable energies, etc.
The representation of our territory and the proposed actions illustrate, in a fun and educational way, different ways of acting to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and our energy consumption.
40 rounds of play (= 40 years) make it possible to choose actions that will both reduce energy consumption, develop renewable energies, divide by 4 GHG emissions and adapt Martinique to climate change . These actions will be your climate plan and the greatest reduction observed on the curves wins.
