MOBILITIES AND PROJECT MEETINGS

  • In this section, you can find information on the nine international meetings that took place during our project. Each country - except Martinique - was visited twice.

    Here is an overview:

1 Learning / Teaching  / Training  Activities, also called "Mobilities" (participants: students and teachers)

    1.1 App/IT workshops (two):

The IT workshops were a joint venture with the aim to develop the basic version of the "CliMApp". IT teachers in Tenerife and in Budapest  taught interested students and teachers from four participating nations the basics of programming the app. The basic version of the app was finished in Budapest.

1.2 Other (five, one in each country)

In each mobility, students and teachers from all partner schools were present, apart from the Martinicans, who only attended the mobilities in Tenerife and Germany.

During these mobilities each partner school presented their natural surroundings and their "CliMApp" routes to students and teachers from the partner schools. Joint activities (workshops, excursions, hands-on-activities, ...) made climate protection a real experience and promoted the community between students from different nations. Working in mixed-nationality groups strengthened the participants’ flexibility and adaptability.

Finally, at the end of the last mobility, we visited the “eco capital” Freiburg and presented our project to members of the European parliament in Strasbourg.

2 Transnational Project Meetings (participants: teachers)

There were two transnational project meetings, one at the very beginning and one at the very end of the project. At the first project meeting, which took place in Germany, we planned and discussed the project; at the second project meeting, which took place in Estonia, we evaluated it.
