Between March 16 and March 25, 2018, the next, most certainly the most realistic meeting of the members of the project was held on the island of Martinique, France.
The students attending the meeting - Csanád Pléni 10th, Petra Kapási 10, Gábor Földes 10.c, Martinez Alexa 10.c - made a brief report every day.
2018. 03. 16. | Departures
At 2 o'clock in the morning, our alarm clocks were ringing to make sure that we reached the Paris machine, starting at 6 o'clock in the morning. We knew at this point that we would not have a light day ... Paris was expecting an almost nine hour flight from us again. At home at half past eight we landed on the French island of Guadeloupe, but after a 5-hour time shift there was only half past three in the afternoon. By leaving the plane, we were shocked by 29 degrees of heat and 80 percent humidity. Only a short, 45-minute flight from our destination left us here. We were very excited to arrive soon, but an unexpected turn came ... We could only start after 5 hours, because we canceled our previously scheduled 4am flight. Finally, at 2:00 pm at 2:00 pm at home, we arrived at Martinique on a fortunate and very sleepy day. Our host families had been waiting for us at the exit so we could finally start home.

Although the official opening of the program will only be on Sunday and the Spanish and the Estonian teams have not arrived yet, but we started this morning at school. As long as the locals had a parental meeting, a reception hour, we met with French and German students and teachers to coincide with our ideas. In the coming days, we will be participating in "mini trainings" so that after we arrive, we can teach you, as many important and useful things to you as possible, especially climate change ...
After the discussion (s) it was a free program with the host families. So we could get to know our environment a little bit closer.

The Spaniards and the Estonians arrived fortunately, so on Sunday the team has come to an end. The locals made us a special welcome and an opening ceremony for us on Anse Figuier Beach, on the Atlantic coast.
At the opening ceremony everyone was given a unique T-shirt with CliMates logo. In the morning we had team building games and we could glimpse the history of Martinique discovered by Christopher Columbus with an exhibition. For lunch, the parents made us lots of delicacies, partly local specialties and partly international dishes. For example, you could taste the raw material of local rum plants, your raw sugar cane. The joint program ended with a dance show, to which more and more people joined. It was a free program with the families at 4 o'clock in the afternoon, but almost everyone stayed on the beach to finally dip in the ocean water ...

On Monday, we started the day at school, and at 7 o'clock we had to be in school because the teaching began here. After we got our nameplates and a detailed program for the week, today's work started. They were divided into two groups and during the morning the groups exchanged each other in the lectures. One site presented us with Martinique and one of its most important export items, bananas. On the other site, a representative of the French environmental organization, Madinin 'Air, gave us a lecture on air pollution. After that, we watched and participated in games played by the German team, which we should later be present in Ady as well. Then we had to hurry again for a lecture by the staff of Agence Martiniquaise de l'Energie on energy research and development. In the afternoon, we visited the capital of the island, Fort-de-France, where we attended an organized one-half-hour sightseeing tour.

We started our day today at school, but we still had a hard time at dawn. Today, we spent only an hour in the school building, and then we went north to get to know the somnolent volcano of the island, the Montagne Pelée. First, at Center de Decouverte des Sciences et de la Terre (CDST) we watched a film about the emergence of the island of Martinique and the Caribbean and the destruction of the local volcano. In addition to us, there were many other interested people in the center, as students from neighborhood schools held a scientific exhibit in the field of science. Lunch was followed, but the restaurant's approach was not easy either. The restaurant was at the very end of the road to the mountain, below the lookout where we went by bus. However, the parking lot and the serpentine proved to be very tight, so the last app. It took 2.5 km to make the driver go easy to get down. Describing it does not seem so interesting, but in reality it was not a simple maneuver, many tourists or local residents stopped photographing our shuttling bus. After lunch, we went to the nearby Morne Rouge to the Domaine d'Émeraude arboretum. In the woods, the built paths, high humidity and just the sunlight that flows through the branches give a special atmosphere to the place. Here, we were deployed to four-person teams, and based on the map, we had to find as many totems as they were hidden along the paths, and finally the team who found the most. Our program ended at a little later than planned, at 5:00 pm so it is understandable that everyone is tired at the end of the day ...

Today we started our day in the Collège Edouard GLISSANT school, so we can not miss the early days. Apart from home, we had breakfast at the school, and a local specialty: pain au beurre chocolat, which is basically a dense cookie with hot chocolate. After that, the teachers creole for class, and the students sat for music lessons. From both hours, the participants could come up with extraordinary interesting and useful knowledge. The team at Martinique has now completed the part of the application for the CliMates project, so the test time has come. Just like in February, they also marked points around the school that they had to look for and answer the pop up question.
We spent nearly an hour in the 30-degree heat, in long pants (since the uniforms were obligatory in local schools, so we could not even pick up anything ...) we were tired and clad, but fortunately we had a nice cool at school. From our morning work, there was only one left: we had to try out sharply (the previously mentioned) interactive play / performance, which we would later have to find in Ady. Two local students led the class with the help of the German partners, fortunately the "test subjects" were very open and surprisingly active all the time. Our common programs ended this way (today), the rest of the day spent with everyone in the host family.

The programs designed for today were unfortunately overwhelming in the morning ... The original idea was that the whole crew would sail to the Caribbean in the morning and be a common delphin. However, the previous day, the boat company canceled the 40-seat booking, so Plan B followed. Fortunately, a 12-year-old ship was quickly fired, so a part of the team - who are going home tomorrow - could go to the dolphin. On Saturdays, homeowners, such as ours, are likely to take place tomorrow, and locals will be there later, after the holidays. This change has substantially rewritten the programs and their order for the next 1-2 days. So, today while the Estonians and Spaniards were on the ship, the Germans and we were in a little further distance to spend our morning. At about 13 o'clock today, we were having dinner together, and then we aimed at the east coast of the island to see the volcanic island (s) of the Atlantic. St. Mary's is bound by a special land bridge with Martinique, which is special because it is only visible for a few months each year (mostly between March and August), before and after the island can only be reached by boat. Even then the team was tired enough, but the java was only after that. We visited Maison du Bèlè, where we met with a bèlè dance of African origin but a local tradition. After a lot of jumping, we literally went to bed ...

The French national strike that started yesterday started us (or more precisely the group), so the planned program was over, but this meant a minor disruption ...
Today, in the spirit of the observation and observation of biodiversity, the Germans and we were able to sail to the Caribbean to observe dolphins. The rest of the group went to the forest or diving (not to deep sea diving, just snorkeling) so that the wildlife can also be explored. Unfortunately, because of yesterday's sudden program change, we could not dive, because it was not a group. After that, we went back to school as lunch was approaching. After lunch, we had a great time, but not too much, because the official program was closed today and the two-hour closing event took place. It also meant that we would soon be leaving home and removing our name plates and killing them as a souvenir.
It is planned that the Spanish and Estonian teams would have gone home today, but only the Spaniards could flee. Unfortunately, the Estonian aircraft has been canceled because of the strike, so they have to look after another in the next day (s).
We are going home tomorrow, but we hope that our flight will have no problem.
2018 március 16- március 25 között került megrendezésre a projekt tagjainak következő, egészen biztosan legegzotikusabb találkozója a Franciaországhoz tartozó Martinique szigetén.
A találkozón résztvevő tanulóink- Pléli Csanád 10.d, Kapási Petra 10., Földes Gábor 10.c, Martinez Alexa 10.c - minden napról rövid beszámolót készítettek.
Hajnali 2 órakor csörögtek ébresztőóráink, hogy biztosan elérjük a reggel 6 órakor induló párizsi gépet. Már ekkor tudtuk, hogy nem lesz könnyű napunk... Párizsból egy majdnem 9 órás újabb repülőút várt ránk. Otthoni idő szerint este fél 8-kor szálltunk le a Guadeloupe nevezetű francia szigeten, de az 5 órás időeltolódás miatt itt ekkor még csak délután fél 3 volt. A gép fedélzetét elhagyva sokkolt bennünket a 29 fokos hőség és a 80%-os páratartalom. Innen már csak egy rövid, 45 perces repülőút választott el minket az úti célunktól. Nagyon izgatottak voltunk, hogy hamarosan megérkezünk, azonban ekkor jött egy váratlan fordulat... Csak 5 órás várakozás után indulhattunk tovább, mert törölték a korábban tervezett 4 órakor induló járatunkat. Végül helyi idő szerint este 9 órakor, otthoni idő szerint hajnali 2 órakor szerencsésen és nagyon-nagyon fáradtan, álmosan megérkeztünk Martinique szigetére. A fogadó családjaink már vártak minket a kijáratnál, így végre indulhattunk is “haza”.

Ugyan a program hivatalos megnyitója csak vasárnap lesz, és még nem érkezett meg a spanyol, valamint az észt csapat sem, de mi a mai reggelt már az iskolában kezdtük. Amíg a helyieknek szülői értekezletet, fogadóórát tartottak, mi összeültünk a francia és német diákokkal, valamint a tanárokkal, hogy egyeztessük elképzeléseinket. Az elkövetkező napokban “mini tréningeken” fogunk részt venni, hogy miután hazaértünk, Nektek, adys diákoknak taníthassunk meg minél több fontos és hasznos dolgot, elsősorban a klímaváltozásról...
A megbeszélés(ek) után szabad program volt a vendéglátó családokkal. Így kicsit közelebbről is megismerhettük a környezetünket.

Szerencsésen megérkeztek a spanyolok és az észtek is, így vasárnapra már teljessé vált a csapat. A helyiek egy különleges köszöntővel, illetve megnyitóval készültek számunkra az Atlanti-óceán partján fekvő Anse Figuier Beachen.
A megnyitó alkalmából mindenki kapott egy egyedi, CliMates logóval ellátott pólót. A délelőttünk csapatépítő játékokkal telt, továbbá bepillanthattunk a Kolumbusz Kristóf által felfedezett Martinique múltjába is egy kiállítás segítségével. Ebédre a szülők készítettek nekünk sok-sok finomságot, részben helyi specialitásokat, részben pedig nemzetközi ételeket. Megkóstolhattuk például a helyi rum üzemek alapanyagát, a nyers cukornádat is. A közös program egy táncbemutatóval fejeződött be, amelyhez aztán egyre többen csatlakoztak. Délután 4 órától szabadprogram volt a családokkal, de szinte mindenki maradt még a parton, hogy végre megmártózhasson az óceán vizében...

Hétfő lévén mi is az iskolában kezdtük a napot, sőt már 7 órakor az iskolában kellett lennünk, ugyanis itt ekkor kezdődik a tanítás. Miután megkaptuk névtábláinkat és a részletes programot a hétre, kezdődhetett a mai munka. Két csoportra osztottak bennünket és a délelőtt folyamán a csoportok egymást váltva vettek részt az előadásokon. Az egyik helyszínen bemutattak nekünk Martinique-ot és egyik legfontosabb exportcikkét, a banánt. A másik helyszínen pedig a Madinin’ Air nevű francia környezetvédelmi szervezet képviselője tartott nekünk előadást a légszennyezésről. Ezt követően közösen végignéztük, illetve részt is vettünk a német csapat által hozott játékokban, melyeket később foglalkozások keretében nekünk is prezentálni kell az Adyban. Ezután egy újabb előadásra kellett sietnünk, amelyet az Agence Martiniquaise de l’Energie munkatársai tartottak az energetikai kutatás-fejlesztésről. A délutáni órákban a sziget fővárosát, Fort-de-France-ot látogattuk meg, ahol egy bő másfél órás, szervezett városnézésen vettünk részt.

Mai napunkat is az iskolában kezdtük, de még mindig nehezen ment a hajnali kelés. Ma csak egy órát töltöttünk az iskolaépületben, utána északnak vettük az irányt, hogy a sziget szunnyadó tűzhányóját, a Montagne Pelée-t is közelebbről megismerjük. Először a Centre de Decouverte des Sciences et de la Terre (CDST) központban néztünk meg egy kisfilmet Martinique és a Karib-térség sziget világának kialakulásáról és a helyi vulkán pusztításairól. Rajtunk kívül számos más érdeklődő is volt a központban, ugyanis környékbeli iskolák diákjai tudományos kiállítást tartottak több tudomány területet is érintve. Ezt követte az ebéd, ám az étterem megközelítése csöppet sem volt könnyű. Az étterem a hegyre felvezető út legvégén, a kilátó alatt helyezkedett el, ahova busszal mentünk fel. Azonban a parkoló és a szerpentin nagyon szűkösnek bizonyult, így az utolsó kb. 2,5 km-t tolatva tette meg a buszsofőr, hogy a lefelé menet egyszerűbb legyen. Leírva ez nem is tűnik olyan érdekesnek, azonban a valóságban kicsit sem volt egyszerű manőver, sok turista, illetve helyi lakos is megállt lefényképezni a tolató buszunkat. Ebéd után a közeli Morne Rouge településre utaztunk a Domaine d’Émeraude arborétumba. Az erdőben a kiépített ösvények, a magas páratartalom és az épphogy csak az ágak között átszűrődő napfény rendkívüli hangulatot kölcsönöz a helyhez. Itt négy fős csapatokra osztottak bennünket, majd térkép alapján meg kellett keresni minél több totemet, amelyek az ösvények mentén voltak elrejtve, végül az a csapat nyert, aki a legtöbbet találta meg. Programunk a tervezettnél kicsit később, fél 5-kor ért véget, így érthető is hogy mindenki tejesen kifáradt a nap végére...

Ma is a Collège Edouard GLISSANT iskolában kezdtük a napunkat, így ma sem maradhatott el a korai kelés. Kivételesen nem otthon, hanem az iskolában reggeliztünk, méghozzá egy helyi specialitást: pain au beurre chocolat, amely lényegében egy sűrű kalács forró csokiszósszal. Ezt követően a tanárok kreol órára, a diákok pedig zene órára ültek be. Mindkettő óráról rendkívül érdekes és hasznos ismeretekkel gazdagodva jöhettek ki a résztvevők. A martinique-i csapat mostanra elkészítette a CliMates projekthez kapcsolódó applikáció rájuk eső részét, így elérkezett a tesztelés ideje. Csakúgy, mint mi februárban, ők is az iskola környékén jelöltek meg pontokat, amelyeket meg kellett keresni és válaszolni a felugró kérdésre.
Közel egy órát töltöttünk a 30 fokos hőségben, hosszú nadrágban (ugyanis a helyi iskolákban kötelező az egyenruha, ezért mi sem vehettünk fel akármit...) kellően elfáradtunk és kimelegedtünk, de szerencsére az iskolában kellemes hűvös várt bennünket. Délelőtti feladatainkból már csak egyetlen egy maradt hátra: ki kellett élesben próbálni (a már korábban emlegetett) interaktív játékot/előadást, amire később nekünk is sort kell keríteni az Adyban. Két helyi diák vezette az órát, a német partnerek segítségével, szerencsére a “tesztalanyok” nagyon nyitottak és meglepően aktívak voltak mindvégig. Közös programjaink ezzel be is fejeződtek (mára), a nap hátralevő részét mindenki a fogadó családjával töltötte.

A mai napra tervezett programok sajnos már reggel megdőlni látszottak... Az eredeti elképzelés az volt, hogy délelőtt az egész csapat hajóra száll a Karib-tengeren és közös delfinnézés lesz. Azonban előző nap a hajótársaság visszamondta a 40 főre szóló foglalást, így következett a B terv. Szerencsére hamar sikerült egy 12 főre megfelelő hajót keríteni, így a csapat egy része - akik holnap már utaznak haza - elmehettek delfin nézni. A szombaton hazautazókra - mint például mi is - valószínűleg holnap fog sor kerülni, a helyiekre pedig majd csak később, az ünnepek után. Ez a változás lényegesen átírta a következő 1-2 napra tervezett programokat, illetve azok sorrendjét. Szóval, ma amíg az észtek és spanyolok a hajón voltak, addig a németek és mi egy kicsit távolabb levő szurdokban töltöttük a délelőttünket. 13 óra körül ma is közösen ebédeltünk, majd a sziget keleti partját vettük célba, hogy megtekinthessük az Atlanti-óceánból kimagasló vulkanikus sziget(ek)et. A Szent Mária szigetet egy különleges földhíd köti össze Martinique-kal, ami azért különleges, mert minden évben csupán csak néhány hónapra jelenik meg (többnyire március és augusztus között), előtte és utána csak hajóval közelíthető meg a sziget. Már ekkor is elég fáradt volt a csapat, de a java meg csak ezután következett. Maison du Bèlè-be tettünk látogatást, ahol az afrikai eredetű, de helyi hagyománnyá vált bèlè tánccal ismerkedhettünk meg. A sok ugrálást követően este szó szerint beestünk az ágyba...

A tegnap kezdődő francia nemzeti sztrájk minket (pontosabban a csoportot) is elért, ezért borult a korábban tervezett program, de ez meg a kisebb fennakadást jelentette...
Ma a biodiverzitás vizsgálatának, megfigyelésének jegyében a németek és mi hajózhattunk ki a Karib-tengerre, hogy megfigyeljük a delfineket. A csoport többi része az erdőbe ment, illetve búvárkodni (nem mélytengeri búvárkodásra kell gondolni, csak “snorkelingre”), hogy az ottani élővilágot is szemügyre vehessék. Sajnos a tegnapi hirtelen program változás miatt mi nem tudunk/tudtunk búvárkodni, mert így nem lett meg egy csoportra való ember. Ezt követően visszamentünk az iskolába, mivel már ebédidő közeledett. Az ebéd után volt egy szusszanásnyi időnk, de nem túl sok, ugyanis a mai nappal zárult a hivatalos program és ekkor került sorra a majd kétórás záró rendezvény. Ez egyben azt is jelentette, hogy hamarosan indulunk haza, valamint azt, hogy levehetjük névtábláinkat és eltehetjük őket emlékbe.
A tervek szerint a spanyol és észt csapat már ma haza utazott volna, azonban közülük csak a spanyolok tudtak elrepülni. Sajnos az észtek repülőgépét a sztrájk miatt töröltek, így egy másik után kell nézniük a következő nap(ok)ban.
Holnap már mi is utazunk haza, de addig is reméljük, hogy a mi járatunkkal nem lesz semmi probléma.
