5 - MOBILITY 2 IN PÄRNU, ESTONIA, May 27 - Jun 01, 2018

  • Our school is participating in the CliMates-together for the better Erasmus + project, where we were able to visit Pärnu, Estonia. Here are some thoughts and impressions of your project:

    05.27.2018. (Sunday)

It's three o'clock in the morning ... it's the alarm clock. Four o'clock in the car we are on the way to Liszt Ferenc Airport. There are only five past, but we've been tickled. At scheduled intervals, at seven o'clock, our plane landed and swarmed to Warsaw. After we landed safely and left the plane, we exchanged a lengthy and highly informative exchange with an employee of the Polish airline who made it clear to us that the Tallinn flight was canceled and redirected us to Vilnius ... why not ?!

We were looking forward to five hours of waiting, but there was no reason for our disgust. We got a lunch voucher to the last penny, I want to say to the zlotys we spent. At 2 o'clock in the afternoon we boarded the plane and went on to the capital of Lithuania.

Just because we did not have to hasten and have time to look at it, we could spend four more hours at the airport there. It is well-known that the times are flying on the airports, not to mention the good company, it has almost disappeared and we had to take our seats again. Without sparing turbulence we rushed to Tallinn. When we arrived, we faced the fact that we had to wait for the Spaniards to travel by bus to Pärnu. One and a half hours of waiting ... what about us?

Finally, the Spaniards arrived, so only one hour trip (this time on the ground) separated us from our final destination. Nearly twenty-one hours of our waking-up, everyone took their vacation and rested comfortably.

    2018.05.28 (Monday)

Our first Pärnu Day (after a hearty sleep) began at 10 o'clock in the Pärnu Kuninga Tänava Primary School. The event was opened by the director's speech, which was translated into English as a professional student.

Then the school boy and daughter chorus (incredibly cute) and listening to the other students in the school, then we could watch an Estonian folk dance show, which we could take part in our great pleasure. After that, we went around the school, followed by a pause. After the break, we were given extremely interesting presentations from Estonia, Pärnu and the school. This climate followed ambassadors' presentation and presentation of their work.

After a quick lunchtime lunch, we continued to visit the Museum of Modern Art, where we saw an exhibition of objects made using recycled materials. The objects exhibited were very imaginative and thoughtful.

After visiting the museum, we were entrusted with the hospitality. In view of the great heat our feet pulled us to the beach, where we spent a pleasant afternoon in the company of Estonians, Germans and Spaniards.

In the evening, everyone was acquainted with their host family, spending time with them.

    05/29/2018. (Tuesday)

Our favorite day began with an hour earlier than at Monday, ie nine o'clock. We gathered before the school, and in groups we started testing the application of the Estates, which led us to the main (climate) points of the city. We got rich with lots of new and interesting information, and we got to know the city a bit.

After a return to school and a short break, we did a little. We had the opportunity to play games and souvenirs for cats and dogs in Shelter. Of course, these are made from recycled cloths.

Then came the lunch, which was strange ... even the Estonians.

The afternoon was free for the team, but during the evening we met again and attended a charity evening at a local grammar school. In the first part of the evening, local bands and DJs, followed by famous Estonian singer Uku Suviste entertained the participants. Due to the strict rule of thumb / ban in the city that a minor can not stay unattended on the street after 11 o'clock, entertainment is over at eleven o'clock, although it is clear until late in the evening for white nights - the day is only 9 o'clock in this period it rests. "Early" we had to go home, but it would still be an eternal memory for the night.

    05/30/2018. (Wednesday)

Our third day was spent in the Estonian town. We first visited the water purification plant in Pärnu, where we gave a lecture about the city's water pipeline, and then we walked around the yard where pleasant smells spread ...

Then we continued our journey to Tolkuse Bay to get the following information:

The specialties of Estonia are the moors, which are approx. account for one fifth of the country's territory. This is the third in the world after Finland and Canada. The moorings are the oldest natural associations in Estonia, which began to evolve 10,000 years ago. In the bogs there is a large farm, the plants of Estonia, approx. one quarter of them are found in the moors. For example, the insect kits are general.

The mires develop slowly, with the growing of peat moss in soil, the surface swells like bread - hence the name of the Hungarian pumice nut. Moss grows by one millimeter per year. The debris of peat moss results in peat, which is a valuable source of energy. The Estonian mires have relatively many peatlands.

Powdery fowls feed on rainwater and have little nutrient in their soil, so the trees (pines, arrows) remain dwarves and provide a special view to the swamp. The waters of the pond feed are higher than the surrounding waters, so streams are always out there. In larger moors, smaller and larger ponds gather together with water, with dangles and flat parts alternating to form a typical landscape. Since the salt water is low in salt water, it can not be too much to drink thirst, but it is very suitable for washing. The flavor and brownish color of the tartens are caused by organic substances. Some swimmers can even swim in the swing, where they built the ladder so that they could get on and off, because such lakes do not have a normal shore.

In the moorland, some members of the group, including Zsófi, sneaked.

In addition to the many species of moss, the lush habit is common in the moors, but we can also pick berries: cranberry, redberries, blackberries, walnut ashtrays. (Http://esztbonto.blogspot.com/2014/01/lap-raba.html)

After a memorable trip and many interesting sights, the well-deserved picnic came. We went home well and tired.

We had a free program in the afternoon and in the evening, which most of us purchased with such a souvenir and spent the family.

    05/31/2018. (Thursday)

Our last day in Pärnu started just like any other week.

Wake up to the alarm clock, then fast breakfast and get ready to go to school. On the fourth day of our vacation, we had already made ourselves in the building without help, especially since our first station this morning was the auditorium where we spent most of our time staying in the school area. This time, Estonian students showed us their school research work, of course, about climate change and its major causes. After that, they summed up the problems of partner countries in the project.

When the presentations ended, we came to the conclusion. We have the opportunity to introduce Budapest and our school, as after the summer the next location will be a modest small country again.

We talked about the Ady High School, the classes in the school's classes, and their trainings. We talked about the "Puzzle Hunting" that we tested on our 8th grade school, not so long ago. We also presented the video on the session, which was a great success among our partners.

At about ten o'clock, we traveled to visit Pärnu's Natural Science Education Center, also called Pernova. The PERNOVA Education Center is a bridge between valuable knowledge and the intelligent future, where everybody from the smallest children to adults finds a valuable pastime in the playhouse, animal care provider, or the astronomical observatory.

After we were divided into two small groups, they presented us to the building and how they actually deal with those who work there. We could see stuffed and live animals, plants. We visited the "cinema room" of the building that shaped the Sun and where the occupation ended with a projection.

After Pernova, we walked to the beach to take a closer look at the wildlife that we have missed during our previous visits, as the beautifully wavy waters of the Baltic Sea all overlooked us.

After a short lunch in the menza, we quickly went to the auditorium where the closing ceremony was held to officially close our project meeting in Estonia.

After each country's representatives got their little gift from our Estonian hosts, we made a final joint group photo and then started off to enjoy our spare time in Pärnu.

In the evening, every family took the hosts to the best restaurant in the city, so he said goodbye to us.

    06/01/2018. (Friday)

On Friday morning we got excited from our bed, and there was no other reason because we traveled to Tallinn for the capital of Estonia.

With our stuffed suitcases we were in the hands of the Hotell Pärnu entrance, where we had a tearful farewell from our hosts. When all of us arrived, we packed into the bus and took our seats. After a fleeting hour, we were already in the capital for our first trip, the Energy Discovery Center, also known as the Energy Avastuskeskus.

In the energy center, after having been divided into two groups, we talked to the lecturer about the greenhouse effect and its prevention, and in a short presentation, we were more familiar with the mysteries of physics. Finally, we could look around alone in the building, which we can safely call the Estonian Wonders Palace.

Our next stop was the Solaris Plage, where we ate and miss the Germans who set off to the airport. Then we started with the Spaniards and Estonians to explore the old town where we got free time to look around.

At the end of the free time we had dinner with our hosts and they escorted us to the hotel where we could enjoy the rest of the evening after the farewell.

    06/02/2018. (Saturday)

Even though it was Saturday and we woke up in a hotel, we could not enjoy the comfort of the beds for a long time.

After we packed and comfortably garnished, our packages were handed to custody, we went to Tallinn to look better than the previous day. We went back to the old town walls, looking at buildings and streets that we have not seen before. After the sightseeing we went to the harbor of Tallinn, where we had a great walk, we ate lunch and then we got free time.

We were at the airport at four o'clock in the afternoon to arrive at our six o'clock flight in time.

It was stupid to think that this time everything will go smoothly ...
When we entered, we noticed that the plane to fly to Warsaw would start 40 minutes later than expected. But that was not the only complication, because it did not take long to call us to one of the gates and exchange our tickets to Warsaw for a flight to Frankfurt.

Fortunately, the airplane landed at the German airport, and this time only the gates were switched to exactly what to do to avoid letting our departure home. Finally, at eleven o'clock in the evening, we landed at Liszt Ferenc Airport, from where there was a straight road to our homes.

Despite the adventurous, sometimes annoying unpleasant trips, we spent a week and a week rich in experiences and experiences in Estonia.

The sea, the wonderful landscapes, the programs' attitudes and the kindness of the hosts have all strengthened us to be a great opportunity to participate in international projects. Thus, not only our language knowledge is expanded, we become more open, we can learn about the customs, culture and history of other European nations. For the Hungarians, Estonia has many opportunities in all areas, we would be happy to go back to Pärnu or Tallinn if we had the opportunity.

Iskolánk részt vesz a  CliMates-together for the better Erasmus+ projektben, melynek keretei között lehetőségünk volt ellátogatni Pärnu városába, Észtországban. Íme néhány gondolat, benyomás a projekthétről:

A lápokban nagy a fajgazdaság, Észtország növényeinek kb. egynegyede megtalálható a lápokban. Például a rovarevő harmatfű egész általános.

A lápok lassan fejlődnek, a talajban lévő tőzegmoha növekedésével a felszín dagad, mint a kenyér - innen jön a magyar dagadóláp elnevezés. A moha évi egy millimétert nő. A tőzegmoha bomlásával képződik a tőzeg, ami értékes energiaforrásnak számít. Az észt lápok viszonylag sok tőzeget rejtenek.

A dagadólápok csapadékvízből táplálkoznak, és kevés a talajukban a tápanyag, ezért a fák (fenyők, nyírek) törpék maradnak, és sajátos látképet nyújtanak a mocsárjárónak. A dagadóláp vizei magasabban állnak a környező vizeknél, ezért mindig kifelé folynak a patakok.

A lápvidék tavában a csoport néhány tagja, köztük Zsófi is, megmártózott.

A sokfajta moha mellett a lápokban gyakori növény a hanga, de sok bogyót is szedhetünk: tőzegáfonyát, vörös áfonyát, fekete áfonyát, mocsári hamvasszedret. (http://esztbonto.blogspot.com/2014/01/lap-raba.html)

Mikor véget értek a prezentációk, mi következtünk.

Összepakolt bőröndjeinkkel a kezünkben álltunk a Hotell Pärnu bejárata előtt, ahol könnyes búcsút vettünk vendéglátóinktól.
