SUMMARY

Teachers and students from all nations except Martinique (see above: "geographical obstacles") traversed of the "SustainApp" routes that has been developed by the students. we made a game in our biodiversity garden to show the importance of biodeversity, and we showed how we can help to conservate the spieces in a big town. We showed insect hotel, never cutting territories for insects and reptiles, native plants. One of our topics was the water. We showed game about circulating of water in the nature, how we use water. The representative of 13th district municipality made a lecture about recultivation  of the bank of Rakos stream, we organised workshops on water testing of stream: measured the depth, the temperature, we got some water from it and tested it by microscope.

• visit of  Carbon house exhibition that introduces the visitors to the importance and consequences of climate change, its’ impact on biodiversity, the different types of renewable energy and the geotherm project.
• We used materials from our previous project with Artemisszio Foundation Green shoots (Interested in exploring sustainability with your group?): “Water Wise”, “How Big is your Global Footprint?”, “Travelling Around”, which games were played under the controll of Hungarian climate ambassadors.

REPORT

September 3rd In the past, school started on September 1st, this year our first day was September 3rd. After the opening ceremony, there was a class teacher class and then the CliMate project team gathered. Why is that? The second year of the project is starting, and this is a big task for us right away: At the beginning of October, we are organizing the first project meeting. So we started to organize. We talked about the programs and the tasks, who could welcome guests, who would make a presentation, who could make a bike ...

And the long-awaited encounter came. We already greeted each other as friends. We introduced our guests to our eco-garden where Erika Frekot, a biology teacher who is one of the main owners and caretakers of the bird and insect garden, gave professional guidance. During the presentation, the guests had to fill in a task sheet, which allowed them to get acquainted with the special trees, spices and birds of the garden.
 On October 2, we visited the Vácrátót Arboretum with participating teachers and students as part of the Climates program.

The main purpose of this program was, among other things, to learn more about the wildlife around us, the destruction of continuous human activity and how we can do it before it is too late.

Before we traveled to Vacácra, an exceptional student at Ady Endre Grammar School, who, incidentally, Csanád Pléli, the Hungarian ambassador to the Erasmus program, gave us a brief, yet useful presentation on the importance of water in our daily lives, about using one of our items. Even though we are aware that only 0.07% of our earth's water is drinkable, which, incidentally, limits the survival of the human race, most people do not seem to appreciate or even try to keep freshwater clean -forrásainkat. After completing a quiz, we were able to find out how much water we were using day by day, which reflected the reality of the facts just mentioned. One of the great sins of the 20th century.

At nine o'clock we set off for the bus waiting for us to reach our destination. When we arrived, enthusiastic tour guides greeted us and began to get to know the environment. We gained a wealth of information about both the history and interesting features of native and planted trees and plants. Not only were we able to see the natural wonders of the Mediterranean, but we also got a glimpse of the tropics thanks to the greenhouses there. Being more beautiful with exotic flowers was a fabulous experience and spectacle at the same time.

In one of the facilities, the Carbon House, an interactive room has been created for guests to explain how and what people can do to change and save energy in order to have a greener, greener home. The impact of this extends to our own personal well-being, to the flora and fauna of nature and, above all, to climate change mitigation, which is, in fact, one of the main goals of the international program in which we all participate.

All in all, this Tuesday is a very busy and informative day. I dare to assume that all of us have the idea that we need to appreciate what we have now and, of course, that there is not much to do at all to keep it that way. I hope that after this week we will all try to be more attentive, moderate and do well for a better future.

One of the most interactive activities of the week was the water test of the Rákos stream, behind the school. Before the examination, Péter Gábor, a representative of the Municipality, presented the development plans, and then we walked with the students to the site, and through the imaginative tasks of teacher Frek, the participants learned about the stream's wildlife, the environment and collected water. The analysis and the microscopic examination of the organisms found in the water were carried out at the school. On this exciting morning, local media, TV13, was present and gave news of the event.

At the beginning of the day, Dora Szabó, a student at St. Stephen's University, gave a lecture on plastic in water. He showed how serious the problem is of plastic waste that gets into the water in different sizes. Larger pieces underwater look completely like a jellyfish. He opened our eyes to the fact that the animals eat as much trash as we would swallow about. 10 plastic bottles, which causes diseases and destruction.

The presentation

We met Dr. Andrea Kircsi Judge at the Academy's Water Day event and asked us to give a lecture on the Hungarian aspects of climate change. Working in a specialized field, he has given us a wealth of information on what databases, where we can find information on the extent and effects of climate change. Many people doubt that climate change is really happening, and statistical data has left no doubt about it.
At the end of the school year, we launched the CliMate Nature Photo Contest, whose main purpose was to highlight the amazing capabilities, natural beauty, and nature-threatening issues of the participating countries: the impact of climate change, the importance of biodiversity, and the need for sustainability.

We expected photos in the following categories:

1.A) Natural beauties of the partner country, biodiversity (birds, animals, vegetation)

1-B) Natural Heritage Hazards in Partner Country Impact of climate change, loss of biodiversity, damage from unsustainable farming

the presentation

The application period was May 25, 2018 - September 15, 2018. At the Hungarian meeting, we created an exhibition where the works were presented.

One important element of the meeting is to create something. Express your feelings in pictures. With the help of teacher Csaba Szabó we made drawings expressing our thoughts on the topic.

Each of the 5 countries participating in the CliMates project will have to create its own application to help you get to know a specific area. On the last day of the Budapest meeting we tested the application we developed. Our team is in XIII. District has selected various points, such as Ady Endre Grammar School, Danube Arena, Margaret Island or Passive Kindergarten, which are related to the project itself or its theme. At these points, players had to answer questions about environmental protection, sustainability or even biodiversity. The route of the completed application covers almost the entire district, so we did not undertake a walking tour of the nearly 13 km, but organized a bicycle tour. We left school and then came back. There were minor or major difficulties on the road, which are of course inevitable, such as a defect, but we have tried to remedy them quickly.

Initially, it seemed like a small business to cycle around the district with an international team of nearly 20 people, but it eventually turned into a great, fun and memorable program for everyone.

One of the projects aims to get to know the culture, history, and traditions of the other nation. We also introduced Budapest to our guests, did a sightseeing tour, visited the Parliament and many interesting places. We introduced our gastronomy and traditions.

To make the adventure more interesting, we've created an app! Unfortunately during the sightseeing we got rainy so we couldn't play it.

We also made a Kahoot quiz, who remembers what he noted. We hope you have a meaningful program for everyone!

Szeptember 3. Régebben az iskola szeptember elsején kezdődött, ebben az évben az első napunk szeptember 3-a volt. Az évnyitó után osztályfőnöki órák következtek, majd összegyűlt a CliMate projekt csapata. Miért is? Kezdődik a projekt második éve, és ez rögtön egy nagy feladatot tartogat a számunkra: Október elején mi szervezzük az első projekttalálkozót. Nekikezdtünk hát a szervezésnek. Megbeszéltük a programokat és a feladatokat, ki tud vendéget fogadni, ki fog prezentációt készíteni, ki tud biciglit hozni...

S elérkezett a várva-várt találkozás. Már ismerősként üdvözöltük egymást. Bemutattuk a vendégeknek ÖKO-kertünket, ahol szakszerű vezetést tartott Frekot Erika biológia tanárunk, a madár- és rovarbarát kert egyik fő gazdája, gondozója. A bemutatás során egy feladatlapot kellett kitölteni a vendégeknek, mely segítségével megismerkedhettek a kert különleges fáival, fűszerivel, madaraival. 
 Climates program keretein belül október 2-án ellátogattunk a vácrátóti arborétumba a részvevő tanárokkal és diákokkal.

A legfőbb célja ennek a programnak többek közt az volt, hogy többet tudjunk meg a körülöttünk lévő élővilágról, a folyamatos emberi tevékenységek miatti pusztulásáról és arról hogyan tudunk ez ellen tenni, amíg még nem késő.

Még mielőtt útra keltünk volna Vácrátótra az Ady Endre Gimnázium egy kivételes tanulója, aki nem mellesleg az Erasmus program magyarországi nagykövete, Pléli Csanád, egy rövid, de ugyanakkor hasznos prezentációt készített számunkra a víz fontosságáról a mindennapokban, ezen belül arról, hogy mennyire felelőtlenül bánunk az egyik lételemünk felhasználását illetően. Annak ellenére, hogy tudatában vagyunk annak, hogy csupán 0,07%-a földünk vízkészletének iható, ami nem mellesleg igen csak limitáltá teszi az emberi faj túlélésének lehetőségeit, úgy tűnik, az emberek többsége nem becsüli meg, vagy éppen nem próbálkozik tisztán tartani édesvíz-forrásainkat. Egy kviz kitöltése után mi is megtudhattuk mennyi vizet használunk nap, mint nap, ami tükrözte az imént említett tények valóságtartalmát Szembesített minket, hogy a pazarlás a XXI. század egyik nagy bűne.

Kilenc órakor elindultunk az iskola előtt várakozó busszal a célállomásunk irányába. Mikor megérkeztünk lelkes túravezetők üdvözöltek minket majd kezdetét vette a környezettel való ismerkedésünk. Rengeteg információval gazdagodtunk az őshonos és betelepített fák és növények történelméről és érdekességeiről egyaránt. Nem csak a mediterrán térségről származó természeti csodákat tekinthettük meg, de a trópusok világába is bepillantást nyertünk az ott található üvegházaknak köszönhetően. Szebbnél szebb egzotikus virágok közt lenni igazán mesés élmény és látvány volt egyszerre.

Az egyik létesítményben, a Karbonházban, a vendégek számára kialakítottak egy interaktív szobát, ahol ismertetik, hogy mi emberek hogyan és min tudnánk változtatni és spórolni az energiával annak érdekében hogy egy zöldebb, környezetbarátabb otthonunk legyen. Ennek hatása kiterjed a saját személyes jóllétünkre, a természet flórájára és faunájára és legfőképp a klímaváltozás enyhítésére, mely tulajdonképpen az egyik fő célja a nemzetközi programnak amiben mind részt veszünk.

Mindent egybe véve egy nagyon mozgalmas és tanulságos napnak tudhatjuk be ezt a keddi napot. Bátran merem feltételezni , hogy egytől egyig mindannyiunkban megfordult az a gondolat, hogy értékelnünk kell azt, amink most van és természetesen az is hogy egyáltalán nem telik sokba tenni azért hogy ez így is maradjon. Remélem, ez után a hét után mind megpróbálunk jobban oda figyelni, mértéket tartani és jót cselekedni egy jobb jövő érdekében.

A hét egyik leginteraktívabb tevékenysége az iskola mögött folyó Rákos-patak vízvizsgálata volt. A vizsgálat előtt az Önkormányzat képviselője, Gábor Péter mutatta be a fejlesztési terveket, majd a tanulókkal kisétáltunk a helyszínre, Frekot tanárnő ötletes feladatain keresztül a résztvevők megismerték a patak élővilágát, a környezetét, majd vízmintát gyűjtöttek. Az elemzésre, a vízben fellelhető élőlények mikroszkópos vizsgálatára az iskolában került sor. Ezen az izgalmas a délelőttön a helyi média, a TV13 is jelen volt, és hírt adott az eseményről.

A nap elején Szabó Dóra, a Szent István Egyetem hallgatója tartott előadást a vízben lévő műanyagról. Bemutatta, mennyire komoly probléma a műanyag hulladék, amely különböző méretben  kerül a vízekbe. A nagyobb darabok a víz alatt teljesen úgy néznek ki, mint egy medúza. Felnyitotta a szemünket hogy az állatok akkora mennyiségű szemetet esznek meg, mintha mi lenyelnék kb. 10 műanyag palackot, s ez milyen betegségeket, pusztulást eredményez. 

A prezentáció

Bíróné Dr. Kircsi Andreával az Akadémia Víznapi rendezvényén találkoztunk és kértük meg, tartson előadást a klímaváltozás magyarországi vonatkozásairól.  Mivel speciális területen dolgozik, rengeteg információt mutatott nekünk arról, milyen adatbázisokban, hol találhatunk információt a klímaváltozás mértékéről és hatásairól. Sokan kételkednek abban, hogy valóban zajlik a klímaváltozás, a statisztikai adatok nem hagytak kétséget e felől. 
Tanév végén kiírtuk a CliMate természetfotós pályázatát, amelynek alapvető célja volt, hogy felhívja a figyelmet a résztvevő országok csodálatos adottságaira, természeti szépségeire, valamint a természetet veszélyeztető problémákra: a klímaváltozás hatására, a biodiverzitás fontosságára, a fenntarthatóság szükségességére és megvalósítására.

Fényképeket vártunk a következő kategóriákban:

1.A) A partner ország természeti szépségei, biodiverzitás (madarak, állatok, növényzet)

1-B) A partner ország természeti örökségét fenyegető veszélyek Klímaváltozás hatása, biodiverzitás csökkenése, nem fenntartható gazdálkodásból származó károk

bemutatására

A pályázati időszak 2018. május 25. - 2018. szeptember 15. között volt. A magyarországi találkozón kiállítást hoztunk létre, ahol bemutattuk a pályaműveket.

A találkozó egyik fontos eleme, hogy alkossunk valamit. Fejezzük ki érzéseinket képekben. Szabó Csaba tanár úr segítségével készítettünk rajzokat, amelyek a témával kapcsolatos gondolatainkat fejezték ki.

A CliMates projektben résztvevő 5 ország mindegyikének el kell készítenie a saját applikációját, amelynek segítségével jobban megismerhető egy-egy adott terület. A budapesti találkozó utolsó napján került sor az általunk fejlesztett applikáció tesztelésére. Csapatunk a XIII. kerületben választott ki különböző pontokat, mint például az Ady Endre Gimnáziumot, a Duna Arénát, a Margit-szigetet vagy a Passzív Óvodát, amelyek kapcsolódnak magához a projekthez, vagy annak témájához. Ezeknél a pontoknál egy-egy kérdést kellett megválaszolnia a játékosoknak a környezetvédelemmel, fenntarthatósággal vagy éppen a biodiverzitással kapcsolatban. Az elkészült applikáció útvonala szinte a teljes kerületet lefedi, ezért a közel 13 km-es útra nem vállalkoztunk gyalogosan, hanem egy biciklis túrát szerveztünk. Az iskolától indultunk, majd oda is érkeztünk vissza. Adódtak kisebb-nagyobb nehézségek út közben, amelyek természetesen elkerülhetetlenek, mint például egy defekt, de igyekeztünk ezeket gyorsan orvosolni.

Kezdetben nem kis vállalkozásnak tűnt a közel 20 fős nemzetközi csapattal körbe biciklizni a kerületet, de végül egy nagyszerű, mindenki számára élvezetes és emlékezetes program kerekedett belőle. 

A projektek egyik célja megismerkedni a másik nemzet kultúrájával, történelmével, hagyományaival. Mi is bemutattuk vendégeinknek Budapestet, csináltunk városnéző túrát, meglátogattuk a Parlamentet, és sok érdekes helyet. Bemutattuk gasztronómiánkat, hagyományainkat. 

Hogy érdekesebbé tegyük a kalandozást, készítettünk egy appot! Sajnos a városnézés során esős időt fogtunk ki, így nem sikerült végigjátszami. 

Készítettünk közösen egy Kahoot kvízt is, ki mire emlékszik, mit jegyzett meg. Reméljük, mindenkinek tartalmas programot biztosítottunk!
